The property was clean, quiet, comfortable, and close to a few beautiful waterfalls! There is a shared kitchen space that was clean and very useful to us for breakfast, we brought our own groceries! There is not really any options for dining around this location, so it would be best to bring your own food!

The couple running it were so welcoming. They had great stories and recommendations. The place is very clean, idealic Icelandic countryside right by several waterfalls. It is also central enough that whether you are going west or east, you are perfectly located.

This stay was amazing!! Tucked back in a gorgeous valley, offering amazing views and close to waterfalls - I highly recommend!

Beautiful stay! I loved the location and the kitchen. It felt more like a traditional B&B, which was a great start to the trip.

Cool place. A bit remote, but close enough to the ring road and nearby attractions. The place felt cozy. You have a community kitchen and dining room that you can access. It's quite clean, useful and stacked with everything you need. I felt that I had space to breathe here. The place is clean and spotless. My room felt comfortable and had everything I could really need.

We got the room 3 which did not have any views. The room was small. The amenities were good and the kitchen had lots of options to use. Good to start early on the south coast.

Stayed one night in a double room here and In a remote location on a farm and surrounded by beautiful scenery. It’s minutes away from plane wreck and Seljalandfoss which made for a healthy hike on a summer evening. Everything is self explanatory/ service and more of a hostel feel than guesthouse or hotel which we didn’t mind at all. They say there is no breakfast but they have an excellent coffee machine and cereals for you to start your day. Only complaint was the smell in our tiny bathroom but the room was spacious, very well appointed, and clean.

Room was very clean and so was the private bathroom. The shared guest area with the kitchen was well maintained. The view is beautiful from this guesthouse. Would highly recommend!

This place is incredible. So cozy, the view is from another world, quiet, nice, all of the good adjectives!!!! It’s next to the waterfall so you can even stop by there many times. Bring groceries before since there are no supermarkets close. But they have the basics so you won’t be hungry. I would come back for sure!!

Everything at this hotel is self-service, and throughout our stay, I didn't see a single staff member. Upon arrival, there was a welcome envelope with my name on it, containing the key to our room, which made check-in simple and convenient. The room was spacious, but it had a noticeable musty smell, likely due to the age of the building. Unfortunately, the bed was also quite uncomfortable. Breakfast was complimentary and was okay. However, many guests, including us, were trying to figure out how to use the coffee maker. Although there were instructions posted, most people assumed it had already been filled with water. It would be helpful if the staff could prepare the coffee maker in advance by filling it with water, making it ready for guests to use.

My son and I stayed for 3 nights. We loved the communal dining area, the complementary breakfast cereals, milk, tea and coffee were a really nice touch, especially given the remoteness. The kitchen is a good size and really well-stocked for pots/pans/plates etc. The view was stunning. The road to the property is cratered and care needs to be taken. The bathroom could do with a refresh, but everything was clean, tidy and worked. We'd visit again.

L’espace convivial est agréable et spacieux. Le personnel est serviable. Concernant la propreté ça ne va pas du tout. Obligée de nettoyer la douche et le pommeau avant d’y aller. Ça devait faire un moment que ça n’avais pas été nettoyé.. une odeur d’humidité insupportable et humidité dans la chambre. L’eau dégoulinait des fenêtres…

This guesthouse was nice and clean. The room was spacious. My boyfriend and I traveled here in the low season (November) and it was difficult to figure out how to access the room. Before arriving, I had a bit of a panic about how we were going to get in (Expedia customer service was not able to tell me). But we arrived to find the main door open and a table by the entryway with an envelope with my name on it and my key inside. No one else was around, but from that point, it became easy to figure out how to access the room. The hotel owners were kind enough to leave out basic food items (dry cereals, milk in the fridge, that sort of thing) so that we could have breakfast there in the morning, because food in the area is scarce. This was VERY appreciated. At night, we could see the northern lights from the property, which was super. Overall, if this is a convenient location for you to stop for a night while doing the ring road (which is what we were doing) then I recommend staying here.

Beautiful cozy cottage with breathtaking views. We loved walking down the road to meet the cows and the orange farm cat. We had everything we needed during our 2 night stay, it was a wonderful way to end our first trip to Iceland.

Every bedroom came with clean sheets and towels; every bedroom had it's own bathroom/shower. There was a common dining area and kitchen, and we were welcome to use any of the kitchen equipment to prepare other meals outside the complimentary breakfast. Coffee was strong and proper. The location was out in farm country, very picturesque. Enjoy walking along the fencing and see the sheep and horses graze. Just be aware once you get off the main highway, the road is completely composed of gravel and stones.
