I recently stayed at the SpringHillSuites byMarriott in Durham for four days, and overall, it was a mixed experience. The check-in process was smooth and welcoming,which set a positive tone formystay.However, I encountered some issues regarding payment and room service.One of the main challenges was that we were unable to place our cards on file since we were sharing the payment. When I requested fresh towels and room cleaning during our stay, we did not receive the service as expected on the following day. This was a bit disappointing, as I had hoped for better attention to our requests.At checkout, I spoke with Shae, the front desk assistant, about splitting the payments.Unfortunately, she was unable to accommodate us and, after contacting her supervisor, I was informed that splitting payments was not an option. This was surprising, as I’ve had this option at other Marriott locations.On a positive note, the breakfast options were quite different from what I’ve experienced at other Marriotts. Typically, I expect to see sausage or bacon, along with fruit and yogurt, but there was none of that available.The room itself was clean and spacious, providing a comfortable environment for my friend and me.The floor was quiet, which contributed to a pleasant experience overall.In summary, while the hotel is welcoming and clean, there are areas forimprovement, particularly in staff training regarding payment options and room service requests. Ihope tosee these changes for future guests
