  • Welcome to your treehouse in the city! Perfect for Duke patients, professionals, & Durham getaways! Being nestled in a serene forest, you can relax and enjoy the sounds of nature in a quiet neighborhood very close to Duke University, Duke University Medical Center, the Duke Forest, and downtown Durham. It is also in the vicinity of the Research Triangle Park and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This property has been totally renovated and is artistically appointed. It is nestled between trees on a large lot within a quiet Duke Forest neighborhood cul de sac. A large open living area awaits you and is complete with a marble dining table that seats six. The living area is also beautifully furnished for you to watch the smart TV visit with your family, friends, or simply relax. Another section of this large room provides an additional queen sofa bed which serves as a nice reading area or an extra sleeping area. Your open kitchen is a great spot to prepare delightful meals or snacks while you visit with guests as they are comfortably seated in the living area or at the bar. Your circular great room opens to a wrap around deck with an outside table seating six. The view to the woods is fantastic, no matter where you settle. Downstairs are two newly furnished master bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with a queen bed. Each of the master bedrooms has a full bath, and its own private patio. Like the upstairs deck, the downstairs patios are abundant with panoramic forest views. Between the two bedrooms is a small room with a twin fold out ottoman. There is also a separate laundry room with a large capacity washer and a dryer. A mesh wifi will keep you connected throughout the house. Additionally, a Ring doorbell system is in place for your safety. Parking is available in your private driveway or on the street in front of your house. Hiking is nearby on the Al Buehler Trail. We cater to guests visiting Durham and Chapel Hill, Duke patients and people with asthma and allergies, Even the most finicky would find comfort in this home! **Please let us know a little about yourself and what brings you to our area when making a reservation!**

Hidden Gem that won’t disappoint. Well appointed with nice linens and very comfortable beds. Centrally located to Duke University main campus and Duke and VA Hospitals. Host is very responsive. If it’s available, don’t hesitate to book it.

This is a very special and unique house! We felt like we were at a five star glamping in the forest - supremely comfortable, well equipped and beautifully decorated while feeling like a real getaway in a unique setting.

What a wonderful “tree house.” It was well maintained and well equipped for a nice stay. The beds were great and the scenery from every window was tranquil. I would highly recommend this home.

Excellent experience

We found the Treehouse to be an immaculate, welcoming, comfortable and very “well-appointed” home-away-from home. Kitchen was very well equipped, beds and bedding were very comfortable— even luxurious! All in all, a wonderful stay!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and the home was actually better than described. It was very clean with a fully stocked kitchen and a variety of coffee, tea, oil, spices and snacks. Shampoo and body were also provided which was a big plus. No expense was spared when it came to the bedding and furnishings, everything felt luxurious. The location was perfect, near Duke and easy access to the freeway. Sue was very responsive and made check-in and check-out incredibly easy. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a stress-free and enjoyable stay in Durham, NC.

Great, quiet location tucked in woods. Wonderful, caring hosts. Close to Duke campus for us to enjoy both outdoor and indoor activities. Five stars.

Great stay, great location!

Loved our extended weekend here. The property had everything we needed and was a great location. Close enough to dining and entertainment but not in the middle of the city either. If we come back we would certainly look at this place again!

Wonderful, serene & nestled in the trees!

This was our family’s second stay at this wonderful house nestled in the trees. Everything is clean and beautifully furnished, the space feels calm and relaxing, and the owners clearly take a lot of pride in providing a top-notch experience for their guests. We will happily stay here again in the future and look forward to our next visit!
