Guest house is your amazing getaway for as long as you want it. Bedroom 1 has a Queen size Bed, TV, desk and computer chair, Relaxing reading chair, Refrigerator/Freezer, coffee maker, microwave and private 1.75 bathroom. Watch Trains circle the loop on Youtube from the live loop camera. Then physically view that same train as it passes by your bnb room as it comes by on Main 1 Tunnel 10 track, or Main 2 bypass track. Included: a BBQ, microwave, coffee maker & mini fridge/freezer.
The space
Unfortunately Guest House is not suitable for infants or Children under 13. Wildlife and items on the property may be dangerous for them.
We get an average of 35 to 40 trains day and night so please be aware that your sleep may be interrupted if you are a light sleeper. We have crystal clear well water and are on a septic system. Please be aware our driveway is dirt and gravel. Please drive slow and follow the signage to your parking space. Due to a medical condition that the host has, he may not be able to Host Guests with Service Animals.

We are on 20 Acres of oak tree covered hills. If you are a bird watcher we have quite a few birds stopping in. Red Tail Hawks, vultures, Doves, Crows, and a million hummers in the summer.

You will have your own private patio area. We have provided a BBQ for your use and cooking utensils. We do not provide plates, silverware, etc. If you are planning to cook please only bring paper plates as we do not have a sink to wash dishes. A Table and 4 chairs are located on the patio. There is a gate to get down to the tracks, if you are interested in sitting down there let us know so we can open it for you. You are welcome to explore the property and if you would like to see inside the museum caboose on the property let us know and we can unlock it for you. We also have the original Tehachapi Loop Signal Bridge Light from tunnel 9 and the Cantilever Light, previously located at crossover behind the Tehachapi Depot .
Other things to note
We are located just south of the Tehachapi Loop. It is approx a 10 minute walk to get the the viewing platform.

We live in a rural area and wifi can be unreliable. Keene is at 3,158 ft. We are subject to winter weather conditions. Monday’s are usually track maintenance days so train traffic may be lighter. We are in a rural fire area and can be affected by Public Safety Power Shutoffs. We will let you know if we get a notice from SCE. If you book with Children or infants you will be asked to cancel.
