Großartig!

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in dem Haus. Auf einer Anhöhe gelegen mit Rundumblick auf das Meer und Methoni haben wir uns auf der Dachterasse gefühlt, als wenn wir über den Olivenhainen schweben würden. Das Haus ist großzügig und geht über zwei Etagen, so dass jeder sich auch einmal zurückziehen konnte. Die Farbgebung der Innenräume ist sehr gut abgestimmt, was erheblich zur Wohfühlatmosphäre beiträgt. Der Garten mit Pool ist ein Ort der Entspannung, Simon ein aufmerksamer Gastgeber und stets zur Stelle, wenn wir Fragen hatten. Es ist sicher eines der schönsten Häuser, in denen wir Urlaub gemacht haben.

The most beautiful view and super host

This isn’t the newest, sparkliest rental house - it’s a home, and feels like it…everything you need, well equipped kitchen, lots of comfy furniture and places to relax. It’s not far from great beaches, Methoni town is quiet, and lovely, but near the main road so good for accessing supermarkets and other places to visit. Simon was there when you needed him, but discreetly available (he lives on site) and really friendly. The pool is great, and we had it to ourselves a lot. Amazing wildlife! And fab fruit trees (I lived on passion fruit). You won’t want to leave the view though, quiet and contemplative dawns, beautiful sunsets, and starry skies at night. We could have stayed forever. Thanks Simon (and cats).x

Great place for a family getaway in South-West Peloponnese

We stayed at Simon’s villa with our two children, 5 and 7. We had a fab time. The house is equiped with all basic amenities, lovely pool, and in a great location, close to wonderful family beaches and central for visiting the area. Would highly recommend without a doubt!

Great view, spacious vila

We, couple ( 65 years) stayed in Vila Shani for 2 weeks with our sons, their wifes, and a baby (11 months). We had a wonderful time together, swimming in the pool, cooking, eating, playing together. The Vila is located on the top of the hill and we had a great view to the landscape with thousands of olive trees, over Methoni, where we watched the sun set and to the Coast and the sea. In the area we had lots of beautiful beaches we could choose every day. The distance to the beaches is about 2 km. We enjoyed our stay!

Ein Haus mit herrlichem Ambiente in einer wundervollen Gegend.

Ein liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus mit vielen Möglichkeiten zum Draußen sitzen. Die Kinder und auch wir Großen haben den Pool genossen und die herrliche Rundumsicht. Von der Dachterrasse konnten wir uns jeden Tag an Sonnenauf- und untergängen erfreuen. Simon ist ein offener und herzlicher Gastgeber - gerne kommen wir wieder. Vielen Dank!

Relax amongst the olive trees

We had a wonderful holiday exploring the uncrowded sandy beaches nearby, pottering around the small town of Methoni and visiting amazing venetian and ottoman forts. The sea is the cleanest that I think I have ever swum in. A highlight was taking the boat from Methoni across to the island of Sapienza; Vassilis the boatman stopped over the shipwreck of 2000 year old stone sarcophogi, which could clearly be seen in 8 metres of water. We stayed in Gaia Cottage: the cottage was simply furnished and had everything we needed (no microwave or dishwasher but we didn't mind that). What really matters to us are things like mattresses, and they were very comfortable. The setting in the olive grove is lovely. There are views across the countryside and to the sea from the cottage patio, from its small and exposed roof terrace (too hot for us during the day), from the pool area and a truly remarkable view, from the front of the Sea Breeze property, of Methoni bay and town. Simon is friendly and approachable and took very good care of us, with advice about where to go and what to do. We really enjoyed his olive oil, eggs, passion fruit and aubergines. The shared pool worked really well for us and was a good way to meet other people staying there. We shall definitely go back to this area of of the Peleponnese and to Seabreeze.

A recommander !

Maison située dans un magnifique environnement (en haut d'une colline avec une vue superbe sur la mer et le village de Méthoni, des champs d'oliviers à perte de vue, suffisamment éloigné d'un axe routier bruyant) permettant d'atteindre de jolies plages à 5 minutes en voiture, ou de nombreux sites de la Messenie en moins de 45 minutes (plage de Voidokilia, village de Koroni, Pylos). La maison est très confortable (mention spéciale pour la literie) pour une famille de 4, et équipée comme il faut pour des vacances estivales. Le site comprend 3 maisons qui sont suffisamment isolées les unes des autres assurant beaucoup de calme. La piscine est très agréable avec, encore une fois, une très jolie vue sur la mer. Simon est un hôte très attentionné, offrant de l'huile d'olives de sa propre production, des oeufs frais de son poulailler (et sans coq pour éviter les réveils matinaux !), des fruits et légumes du jardin (notamment des fruits de la passion particulièrement savoureux). Endroit à recommander pour un séjour dans la nature et loin de l'agitation urbaine !

Wonderful place, great athmosphere

We stayed with our 3 kids (aged 4-7) during 3 weeks and really loved the house, the location and our host Simon who was so kind and always ready to help and offer his house grown vegetables, eggs, olives, oil ... The environment is really relaxing: a very soft tourism, no crowd anywhere, warm people in shops and restaurants, and soft temperatures due to the see nearby Sharing the swimming pool with other families was actually a very nice experience I highly recommend the place Thanks a lot Simon and Idy

Beautiful home inside green nature

Seabreeze is located on a hill just above the town of Methoni, with beautiful view to the bay, close enough to go down to town in a one or two minutes of drive, or a few minutes of walk, and yet isolated to those who need a piece of quiet nature. The three houses are far away from one another, which gives a lot of privacy, and are sorounded by beautiful vegetation, the sound of birds and crickets, and beautiful skies full of stars at night. The house was very cleen and well equiped with everything we needed, and gave a very homly feeling. On the day of arrival we where greeted with fruit, vegetables (homely grown) fresh bread and a few more refreshments which made the end of the long drive feel very welcoming. The swimming pool is beautifully located in front of the open view, and very nice to sit by a relax while the kids are in the water. There are many things to do and see in the area, and we found the location very convenient- Methoni itself is a beautiful town, with many good places to eat and a very impressive fortress to visit. Finikounda is a few minutes drive from there, and beautiful Koroni is about 25 minutes drive, with beautiful beaches along the way. Simon was very helpful in giving us advice a directions on where to go. We really loved the stay at "Seabreeze" and would love to come back once again.

Peaceful holiday in an olive grove

We really enjoyed our holiday at Seebreeze near Methoni. This is a beautiful area and there are lots of things to do and many areas to explore. We visited ancient sites, remote hilltop villages, beaches, local towns, castles, museums and the market in Kalamata. Simon was very helpful in suggesting things to see and providing maps. We enjoyed meeting his extremely friendly cats! The house was clean and all the basic things we needed were there. We bought you an egg cup and a juice squeezer! There was a great view from the rooftop terrace, a good place to drink our ouzo! However we felt that with a few small details and little expense he could easily improve a few things. The view from the front door needs tidying up, abandoned car, broken polytunnel and various clutter lying around. Inside, the house needs to be kept up to date...for example, new bedding needed, worktops in the kitchen need replacing, bathroom drain hole doesn`t work....so puddles form, a more generous welcome pack, say half a dozen eggs and a bottle of wine. Many cottages these days have a very high standard and for the price asked one expects things to be kept up to date and those few little extras make all the difference. This is intended to be constructive...we did enjoy our holiday!!

Beautiful setting in an unspoilt corner of Greece

We had a lovely relaxing 2 weeks in the Villa Sol at Sea Breeze villas. Simon and Idit were charming and accommodating hosts, available to help when needed but unobtrusive as well. The villa itself is set in an olive grove in a lovely valley just south of Methoni. Although there are three properties on the site you barely notice the other guests as the houses are set apart from one another. The pool is shared with the other properties but with a little planning we had several days where we were the only users of it. Ali the dog was a lovely friend for our son and we miss her hugely! The house itself had everything you need and was clean and tidy. The insect netting on every door and window was great and we had no bites at all. The roof terrace is a lovely place to star gaze or sunbathe and there is another small terrace at the front of the house where you can eat al fresco. Our only slight disappointment was that we would have liked a larger/more substantial barbecue.... There are lots of small tracks in the valley and if you like walking or cycling there are plenty of chances to get away from the main roads. This part of Greece is very beautiful and unspoilt. Methoni is just a short distance away - you can walk there but we opted to drive. The town is very attractive - you can visit the fascinating castle and there are great places to stock up - a small Carrefour supermarket, butchers, fishmongers, bakeries and tavernas and cafes. The sheltered town beach is lovely with shallow water and great views of the castle. There are numerous beautiful beaches within a few miles of the property - we particularly liked Lambes, just a few minutes drive south. Finikounda is about 15 minutes drive away if you prefer somewhere a little more resort like and Koroni is well worth a visit as is Pylos, around 20 mintues north of Methoni - it's a bigger town with a lovely shaded square. We have come home with very fond memories of our stay and a reminder in the form of Simon and Idit's olive oil; we've just finished our litre; the best olive oil we have ever tasted! We hope to return soon!

Ein toller Ort, wo am liebsten bleiben möchte

Wir hatten in unserer zweiwöchigen Reise in der Villa Seabreeze und Umgebung unsere schönste Zeit. Unsere Kinder hatten sich sehr schnell mit dem Hund und den Katzen angefreundet. Der Pool war ein Highlight der uns Schwierigkeiten machte, unsere Kinder für einen Kurztrip zu überzeugen. Es gibt in dem Haus und Grundstück so viele ideenreiche Details zu entdecken, wir waren immer wieder aufs Neue erstaunt. Das gemeinsame verbringen auf den Terrassen (mit Blick auf das Meer, Methoni, Sonnenuntergang und den unglaublichen Sternenhimmel) war jeden Abend ein wunderschöner Abschluss! Vielen Dank, dass wir in Eurer Villa Gast sein durften, wir werden die Tage immer in Erinnerung behalten. We had our best time in our two week trip to Villa Seabreeze and the surrounding area. Our children had very quickly become friends with the dog and the cats. The pool was a highlight which made it difficult for us to convince our children for a spa trip. There is in the house and grounds so many ideas to discover details, we were always again amazed. The shared spend on the terraces (overlooking the sea, Methoni, sunset and the amazing starry sky) was every evening a wonderful conclusion! Thank you for being a guest in your villa, we will always remember the days.

Pretty, private, well-equipped, beautiful location

We loved our stay - such a wonderful location, beautiful and friendly (property and Methoni area!). The location of the cottages in the grounds makes them feel very private, there is so much space in the olive grove and each house has a hammock and chairs in the garden, as well as a front terrace with tables and a fantastic roof terrace with beautiful views. The swimming pool was always the perfect temperature and in a lovely location. With only three properties, we had it to ourselves most of the time! The kitchen is very well-equipped - juicer (for the huge bags of oranges available for 3 or 4 euros on the side of the road), kettle, coffee maker, toaster, plus a small oven and pots and pans. Plenty for self-catering and making the most of the local fresh fruit and veg. The cottage has a very detailed booklet including things to do in the area, but Simon also gave us a list of the best local beaches - which were fantastic. He was incredibly friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. We enjoyed the eggs from the chickens in the garden (no crowing cockerel though!) and being able to compost too, of we wanted! We walked into Methoni in the evenings, which is about 20-30 minutes (take a torch) or a short drive. Methoni is a pretty town with lots of tavernas, cafes and restaurants and is very relaxed, many Greek tourists. It didn't feel overly touristy, which we appreciated. The beach in Methoni is long and narrow and was never over-crowded, the sea is calm and shallow - it's a lovely town beach. We found a local windsurfing school/hire in the town beach which was a great part of the holiday. The Peloponnese is really beautiful - very green, even in August, and relatively quiet. We visited Ancient Messene, Koroni, beautiful waterfalls and the stunning Voidikolia beach, as well as other local beaches (none of which were crowded). I fell in love with Greece and would happily return to this area and definitely to the cottage.

Great accommodation in a beautiful setting!

We had a great experience staying at Seabreeze. Very comfortable accommodation set in a tranquil olive grove. Our family of 4 enjoyed the facilities, the pool and the lovely views. Our hosts were most helpful with useful tips to secret beaches and recommended tavernas, thank you. We would recommend this property and surrounding area for anyone who would like to stay in a quiet part of Greece away from the tourist crowds. With plenty to explore in the local area and also a great setting to relax on the lazy days.

Great Location, Great Vila, Amazing Views

Have to say this villa suited us perfectly for our family of four. It sits at the top of a hill overlooking the pretty seaside town of Methoni and the views were spectacular. We rented the bigger of the three villas, but all three looked really nice. The villas are surrounded by really nice gardens and olive groves and the pool was great for an afternoon dip when we got back from the beach. The big villa itself has lots of lovey creative touches and the upstairs living space is wonderful. A really nice space that flows out onto the balcony. There is even a small spiral staircase leading up to a roof top terrace and on several nights we lay out on this just to look at the beautiful stars in this unspoiled corner of the world. The two local towns of Methoni and Finikounda are just a few miles and both are charming places to visit, eat and do a spot of shopping. The local area is simply stunning. Lots of beaches with loungers and tavernas, if that's your kind of thing, but also some quieter and more beautiful spots to discover if you don't mind walking a little way to find them. We had a nice warm welcome from the owners and Simon was always on hand with lots of information and advice. Highly recommended for both the villa and the area in general. Two small points to mention... First, the track up to the villa takes a sharp turn off the road, so take care when turning off the main road (not a major problem as the road is not generally pretty quiet). Second, the owners actually stay in an apartment below the main villa. It is part of the same building but they were very discrete and we never felt as if we were 'sharing the villa'. Perfect family location with spectacular views

Villa Shani is the private house of a cosmopolitan family in Methoni, Greece, very pleasant and unpretentious. Once or twice during the year it is possible to rent the place. It´s ideal for families with two or three kids. The house is located in the middle of an olive grove that is still being cultivated with fantastic views onto the sea and the fortress of Methony. It is built very creatively with lots of lovely details and nice furniture. The place has three bed-rooms, a big kitchen / living- / and dining-room as well as a huge terrace (with the views) and a swimming pool. You can easily spend the whole day at the house or you can visit various beaches, water-falls and archeological sites that are all near-by. There are a few excellent restaurants in the neighbourhood. Nine days went by like nothing and at the end the kids wanted to stay for another week.

A week in gorgeous Methoni

I got much more than I had hoped for from this week away in Methoni staying at Seabreeze. The whole area is very beautiful with fab beaches and brilliant clear blue seas. The villa we stayed in at Seabreeze was simple and perfect - set in amongst a wonderful organic olive tree grove I found the whole experience deeply peaceful and grounding. Simon, Idit and their children, and lovely animals were very warm and welcoming. I spent whole days just hanging out near the house when my friends went exploring because it was that lovely and relaxing! All I can say is I really hope to return soon. Going the end of season also added to the relaxed vibe of the area too. I highly recommend it :)

Absolute Entspannung in fantastischer Umgebung

Meine Freundin und ich haben im September eine Woche in Simons wundervollem Häuschen verbracht und es war einfach nur großartig. Das Grundstück ist riesig, voller Olivenbäume, 5 Minuten vom nächsten (herrlichen) Strand entfernt und bietet jede Menge Platz und Aussicht, um sich zu entspannen. Das Haus ist wirklich gemütlich und sehr sauber. Die Region ist fantastisch. Kleine schöne Dörfer am Meer, herrliche Sandstrände und jede Menge Ausflugsorte. Alles in Allem also eine sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft in einer traumhaften Region. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

A wonderful stay

My girlfriend and I spent one week in this fantastic area and enjoyed every second of it. House and property are beautiful, the hosts are very friendly and helpful, the location is perfect and we had everything we need. We'd love to come back and fully recommend this location. It was a memorable stay in Methoni!

This was our first time in this part of Greece, and we were not disappointed! Simon and Idit were very helpful hosts and even provided a welcome package of their own produce. The location of the villa, up on the side of the mountain, offered wonderful views of Methoni village and the sea, and the whole surrounding landscape. We could have chosen to stay in a hotel, but we wanted an authentic, village life experience. The accommodations were adequate, and everything was in working order. Our hosts provided plenty of information for us to experience and enjoy all that this region has to offer. Our children enjoyed afternoons in the pool, and star gazing at night. We tried every beach that was recommended, and also had dinners at the many restaurants that were suggested. Overall, we were very happy with our choice and feel lucky to have experienced Methoni!
