Play and Stay on Put in Bay!

  • Put in Bay, also know as South Bass Island has been called the Key West of the North. It is an island located in the western basin of Lake Erie and is reached by ferry from Port Clinton, Catawba or Sandusky. You can bring a car although the taxi service and golf cart rentals are a great way to get around. Put in Bay is definitely a fun loving place. The summer weekends are noted for the many taverns and nightlife, however during the weekdays and off season, it's a great place to relax with family and friends. There's history with Perry's monument, a lighthouse, butterfly house, wineries, a state park for lake swimming and fishing, a public golf course, jet ski rentals, miniature golf, or just enjoying the scenery at DeRiveria Park! After a busy day you can relax in the new development pool or just soak in the garden tub with a good book. Our home has two decks, great for relaxing and kicking back. On a quiet night you can hear the waves!

    There is parking room for 2 cars or one car and one trailer at the home, No other parking is available.
    Please leave the unit in the condition it was at your arrival. Trash must be bagged and placed in outside bin, Excessive cleaning, lose of key or damage to home will be charged to your account

Family vacation

Fun Girls Week!

We had a great time enjoying the Island and then having a comfortable and quiet place to come back to. Enjoyed the pool right in the complex we were staying. Thankful for a full kitchen and grill to use. Would recommend this house!

Marie was wonderful, providing extra accomodations to help offset the Island Club deciding to work on the roads surrounding the property with very little information on very short notice. Very clean and with plenty of cups, straws, dishes, etc. Thank you!!

Fishing in Put in Bay

Nice space for 6 adults. Very comfortable furnishings and layout. Good size deck on front and back. Too bad they are not clear of debris before arrival. Tough parking more than one truck and boat. All the other house guests near by were great.

Enjoyed put in bay. First time visiting. The house needs floors and doors fixed. Ants in the kitchen. Decks need replacing as well. Over all enough space and nice location.

Bachelorette Party Weekend

The house is in a great location and the neighborhood was clean and pretty quiet! There’s a nice community pool as well. There is a shuttle service from the Island Club to anywhere you want to go around the island which was a nice surprise! It’s $4 per person one way and it runs until 3AM especially now that you have to pay to park a golf cart around the boardwalk. Our hostess was very helpful and responsive and her instructions for check-in and check-out were easy to understand and follow. The trip and my first experience with VRBO was great!

Family Vacation

I was pleased with the place. It's in a quit neighborhood and I enjoyed sitting on the decks. We went fishing several times from the bank and caught several catfish, bass, rock bass and perch. You'll wanna rent a golf cart as it seems to be the easiest way to get around the island. My only complaint about the stay was that I ran out of propane on the grill after only using it one time.

Girls weekend

The house was clean but needs updated. The decks were covered in branches and leaves. We cleaned it up but they say check in is at 4 the expectation is for it to be clean inside and out. Other than that we had an awesome time!

Great location

The location was nice. The house was set in back of development. Plenty of room for the 3 of us. We had a wonderful time. Was disappointed in the cleanliness. Bathroom walls and house floors were very dirty. Turned our feet black. The house is run down and needs upgrades. Also the dishes were not clean.

Girls Weekend

We enjoyed our stay but there were a few drawbacks. Overall the cleanliness of the property was less than stellar. It did not seem as though it had been cleaned between visitors. There were leftover food items in the cabinet, leftover bag of ice in the freezer. Property was dated and could use a little sprucing. Bedding was uncomfortable but served its purpose. We would have loved to enjoy the deck area of the property but due to the lack of upkeep and cleanliness we weren’t able to do that.

Not clean

This property is covered in cobwebs and there are a lot of bugs. My friend had a spider on her when she woke up. Shower had an old bar of soap with someone else's hair attached, our feet were black from walking barefoot. I reached out to the owner who just thanked me for letting her know, no apology or attempt to mend the situation.

House

The location was great. However, the house was not cleaned prior to our arrival. There was hair covering the sink, dead bugs in the tub and hair clogging the shower which prevented the use of it because it wouldn’t drain… it was difficult to call due to the poor reception and there were no other places to stay for the weekend we were here. The floors were not swept and there was still food on the carpets. And trash from bathroom was not taken out. The renting process was quick and easy and I hate to leave a negative review but it was significantly dirty in the home.
