Hoteles cerca de Puppet Museum - Balapitiya

"The standing of this hotel which claims, boasts and advertises as luxurious was really disappointing. Premises are ageing, amenities and food offer very basic and the standards of both cleanliness and comfort not really satisfying."

"Fantastic beach front location with great views. Rooms and common areas very good standard and staff very helpful and hospitable. Lovely free perks in addition including afternoon tea/ cakes and drinks (gin/tonic, wine and beer) from 5-6pm. Food outstanding."

"This hotel is situated on a beautiful private property, with a lovely garden and private beach with rock pools! Food - especially Sri Lankan food - was fantastic! The staff also made sure they did everything to make our stay a lovely one. But sadly, the place wasn’t up to standard. Rooms, toilets and surrounding areas looked worn down. The “white” look in these images - I can guarantee it’s not white. It was more yellowish. Our toilet seat broke while we were there. The place was clean, but it...

"We arrived in the early hours of the morning, with the help of Chaminda who kindly met us at the airport. Incredibly warm welcome, lovely place to stay, and amazing hospitality from the entire family and staff. Thank you for helping us enjoy Sri Lanka"

"Decent boutique hotel. Quiet, clean, and a private beach at your feet, literally. Very good in-house restaurant, and other eating spots closeby if required. Rooms are air-conditioned, with TV and good rainfall showers. Staff polite and attentive, my room AC was deemed faulty after a few hours from check-in and was fixed by a technician within 30min after reporting. Walking distance to Ambalangoda town with all conveniences and supermarkets, and tuks available via Uber if the return requires a...

"The entire bathroom was slippery, they use towels for the floor instead of Mat very unsafe "

"Très belle propriété, le personnel est très gentil et serviable. Chambre confortable et très beau jardin"

"Very nice to stay! Highly recommend."

"This was our 2nd stay at the Asian Jewel. Our return was based on our previous experience which was lovely staff, good food, clean and spacious room. The location is out of town but was easy/cheap to get tuk tuks and being situated next to the lagoon allowed us to see lots of beautiful birds from our balcony. Would recommend and hope to return again."

"A nice hidden spot near the railway station with fleeting views of the beach, friendly staff and access to the gym next door. It’s a reasonable walk to Turtle Bay, but the main restaurants/bars are approximately 15 min walk away. BUT, a Tuktuk is like £1 (GBP) so very reasonable. A great stay overall."

"There isn’t much close by just the beach and huge amazing pool. Wish there were more shops"
