We requested two beds, they said they were sold out and didn't have any. After the housekeepers came the first day they took the blanket off the end of our bed, we called to get it back and they returned with just two sheets saying they were out of blankets. I'm not sure why they took ours to begin with. The safe in our room was broken and didn't close.

The front desk staff were not informative. They didnt give us the wifi code, we thought it may have been on the info sheet that was in spanish, didnt notice till we got to the room. They do have it in english. Never asked if we were going to use the safe in the room. You need to get a bolt with a key in it, in order for the safe to work. They only put coffee out at 6.30 am. Sometimes not till 7, however they seem to forget the milk/cream. Never put out hotwater for tea, actuall no tea for 3 days. Just little things that could be tweaked by traing the staff. Only 2 small bottles of water left in the room, have to always ask for more. Suggestion, maybe 2 garrfon on each floor so people can refill their bottles and save on plastic containers. However the food was very good.

Requested a room over the quiet, adult pool via Expedia (in Spanish and English) and at check-in. The kid at the desk said “yes, we have a great room for you,” and it was above the noisy, obnoxious kids’ pool. There aren’t nearly enough lounge chairs and umbrellas around the adult pool, and the rules about saving chairs are arbitrarily enforced. Several days people put towels on chairs all day and finally showed up late in the afternoon, or not at all. Other days the concierge ordered security to remove belongings at 7:30 am, when people had just stepped away for a moment. They need to move the massage tent as it takes up prime real estate and was used all of about 3 hours during our stay. The food at the buffet was improved over last year, with a little more variety, and they added “tea time” some days, and some fruit snacks. People smoked in the private beach area and put cigarettes out in the sand, with no cleanup - that was disrespectful and disgusting.

Bar staff is good. Front desk staff are not good, we requested a late checkout because half the services were shut down for 3 days and a cerfew of 10pm was put on one night and everyone ordered to their rooms. They wouldn't accommodate us at all and charged us 1290 mxn for the late check out. They agreed to dropping that fee to 840 mxn, but then took that offer back and charged us 1290 mxn. The snack shack was closed for 3 days along with multiple bars and restaurants. The buffet and snack shack had birds flying around and eating from food trays while staff looked on and even fed them from the table. We found cockroaches in our room. Overall a bad stay and this place should be shutdown for sanitary reasons.

food wasn't great.. same thing daily.. Ataff don't speak english. Public areas have very loud music and/ or loud speaking on microphone .. too much loud noise. We also experience the lockdown as the cartel attacked and set fires to several places. We had to find out info on our own as staff didn't tell us anything.

Room was updated and nice view. It was well cleaned daily with special touches. Majority of staff excellent at providing services with exception of two new women at reception desk who were not very accommodating on some occasions.Special mention to bellmen and dining room staff who were excellent!

Room was very old booked a king with ocean view got an ocean view with 2 small beds after 3 rooms. Food was awful !! Staff was polite and courteous. Drinks were awful no premium liquor was offered at all !! Room was clean but soo outdated some rooms had no shower doors

It's an old hotel and I love it, mainly because of the great staff. The porters, such as Martin and Tomas, are there to greet you upon arrival and help you with your bags. The waiters in the restaurants, such as Aristeo, Chris, Miquel, Alfredo and too many other to mention, are so very helpful. And then there's David, bartender extraordinaire. The hotel location is terrific and I return each year. There are some nice touches, such as the Spanish coffee station that is set up each day from 5-6 p.m. Yum! Once note, though, is that there were a couple of new women at Reception when we arrived, who were unaccommodating and abrupt. All of the others, who've been there for years, have great customer service skills, which I hope will get passed onto the new staff members at Reception.

The great thing about this resort is the location, close to the Malecon and nice beaches. It is also very clean. The buffet however left a lot to be desired. There were also very noisy games and even a Mariachi band at 8 am on a Sunday. One night, there was a drunk lady knocking on doors and screaming at 4 am and I tried to call the front desk but the hotel room phone was not even working! It was disappointing. Overall an okay stay, good value for the money, but nothing remotely fancy or luxurious about it.

The place is very dated. Only one bar with 8 seats in the lobby at nighttime. No coffee or sports bar. The snack bar was over cooked meats and bland. The staff working at the dining room were good but the food was the EXACT same salads and meat groups all week , chicken , fish pork. The nickel and dining and CHARGING to watch the SuoerBowl for $25 per person USD in the snack bar was the cherry on the cake. Save your money and don’t stay here.

Martin welcomed us when we first arrived and he set the mood for a great week. Food and bar staff were outstanding, thanks to Miguel who got to know our family, our favourite table and drinks. Room staff kept our rooms clean. Beach was outstanding and we had a great family vacation. The aquafit ladies Karla and Brenda were very enthusiasm and happy to be there.

Overall the resort is very nice. It is smaller with fewer amenities than others but we preferred that. 2 main pools, 1 for adults only and 1 for families. We enjoyed the family pool as it had music and activities throughout the day. Both pools were very clean. We never really had trouble finding a poolside chair, it didn’t get very busy during our stay. Our room was on the south side of the resort above the burger station. Amazing views but very noisy. During the day is normal noises but at nighttime we found it very, very noisy with carts rolling around and kitchen prep? The room was very clean and spacious. One thing we would say is negative is that there is no mini fridge in your room. It made it hard to store your own food or drinks from the store, they also don’t have room service and you’re not allowed to bring food out of the dining areas. I’d recommend fridges so people have the choice to bring their own food and drinks and store it. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The food overall was very good! If you’re staying for an extended period of time you may grow tired of it as it’s very similar food each day but it was all very good. We never got sick. A warning though, the birds are out in full force during breakfast, if you’re not watching your food they will pick at it. So be cautious with what you grab and don’t leave your food unattended. We will stay again in the future for sure. It is in a great location.
