"We absolutely loved our stay at Galle Fort Hotel. It was a beautiful property in the middle of the fort town which had lots of restaurants and shops. The hotel itself was unbelievably beautiful and felt very luxurious. The staff were so attentive and kind. The breakfast was my favorite I’ve ever had at a hotel! Beautiful fruit and delicious cooked food. Cannot recommend enough! We will be back. "

"Stayed here many time. Staff amazing and place really beautiful. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Unawatuna. Good Wi-Fi in communal areas (doesn’t quite reach all rooms). The eco friendly question hotels.com asks is difficult to answer. They give lots of bottled water, which I guess isn’t very eco-friendly - but that is what tourists want. I guess maybe if they had a large central water dispenser people could refill bottles for that would reduce plastic use. I think some tourists might complain...

It’s excellently located for exploring the fort and the building is beautifully preserved and offers excellent and spacious accommodation. "Dette hotel er noget helt specielt. Vi havde et værelse på 3 sal med egen terrasse. Vi havde et alle tiders kæmpe tre lige uden foran og om morgenen, da vi skulle spise morgenmad, var aberne meget interesserede. Det var en morgenmad, som var inklusiv i opholdet, men det blev bragt til værelset til aftalt tid og man kunne komme med ønsker om preferencer. Tillige fik vi en mygge skåner. Vi havde brug for transport og stedet havde en mand ansat, der gerne kørte os til adskillige oplevelser og endda...

"We had one night in Galle, and were lucky enough to get the ENORMOUS family room - an amazing experience for the entire family. As it was off season (late October), the hotel was quiet and there was some renovation going on, but it was beautiful and peaceful. Would definitely recommend! One thing I have to mention: The bedframe extends beyond the mattress and since it's dark wood, it's impossible to see in the dark - two of us came home with some pretty bad shin scrapes :) "
