This home has all the amenities: a private lakefront home right on the edge of town.
This air conditioned home has an open floor plan, where you can enjoy the beautiful gas log, stone fireplace while looking through the extra-large door wall enjoying the spectacular sunsets of the East Bay. The full working kitchen boasts of all the modern-day amenities, including a dishwasher, garbage disposal, two refrigerators, and a built-in microwave.
The upstairs has 4 spacious bedrooms each with its own smart TV, that will comfortably accommodate 10 guests. The Master bedroom has its own private balcony for those romantic sunsets. Also located upstairs is the second full bath complete with a Jacuzzi tub.
The amenities don’t stop at the inside of the home, outside you will find an attached two-car garage, a side yard for additional parking, a lakeside yard, a dock, and plenty of shallow water to use the 2 provided kayaks, paddleboards, Lily Pad or just for letting the kids play with provided deck and water toys.
This is truly a year-round home: swimming, fishing, boating, snowmobiling, ice fishing, state trailhead for ATV just a mile away, and plenty of state land nearby for hunting and hiking.
With the WiFi, it’s perfect for your next “ work/vacation”.

Our family of three and another friends family of four stayed together. This house was situated right on the lake with a lower and upper deck. They had kayaks, a stand up paddle board, a Lilly pad mat for floating, and kids beach toys. There was a fire pit and grill. A walking distance restaurant/bar for those that want to get out of the house. The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed. The AC worked well. Would go back.

Ice fishing trip

Everything was great, except the fact that the driveway was covered with 2-3 feet of snow for us to shovel upon arrival. The snow had been there for a very long time as it was hard like ice in most spots. It took my son and I close to 46 minutes to get 3/4 of it knocked down and our other guests arrived to help. I threw my back out and was down for the count once I got home, couldn’t move for 2 days out of my bed. The road to the house was plowed, it sure would’ve been a common courtesy to have that plowed for us. I sent the owner a message about it after we left and she never even responded back to me.

Great Location/Friendly Host

The house sits right on the water on the south east side of Houghton Lake. Beautiful views, especially from the upstairs balcony. Host was super friendly and proactively in communication from a few days prior to our arrival thru departure

Houghton Lake is a gorgeous lake that we thoroughly enjoyed staying on. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking, and the outdoor space was beautiful.

Great house

The house was clean the kitchen was fully stocked with anything you would possibly need. Lots of out door toys for the kids, plenty of chairs, fishing and boating supplies as well.

Beautiful View

The view was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. We found a broken kayak paddle when we went to use them. Brandi said she would order a new one. However, the main reason we chose this house was the use of kayaks, so we were disappointed to only have one working paddle with the two kayaks. Some of the beds were uncomfortable. The house was clean and had a well stocked kitchen. The outside area was nice for hanging out and relaxing. Brandi responded quickly to questions.

Family Funeral

I couldn't have asked for a better hostess. Being the purpose was a funeral, time was short to make plans and arrangements. Brandi accommodated three families who do not get the opportunity to be together very often. She allowed us to have a dog on site and an extra person. She also allowed an early arrival time due to flights and distances traveled. We had everything we needed to get through the three days. Thank you.

Weekend on the ice

We had a great weekend on the ice. The place was perfect for our group of four. Plenty of room for more. Great location on East Bay. Owner was great! Would love to stay here again next year for our annual ice fishing weekend.

Grest lake house @

Perfect spot to relax and enjoy family and friends. Cute friendly restaurant within a walking distance. Lovely farmers market around the corner. Beautiful lakefront views. The house is comfortable and cozy. The owner was responsive and super friendly! If i am ever in that area of the country I will definitely try to stay here again!

Great Lakefront Property

Rented place to support a group of 5 adults - lodging for golf weekend. The group all enjoys to stay-in a dine, kitchen amenities were great. The overall layout for sleeping and socializing (inside and out) made the weekend perfect.

Lovely house with a great view

Clean & comfortable house. Well equipped. Great view and location. We were unfortunate with cool and rainy weather during our stay so we didn’t get to take advantage of the outdoors much, but with better weather there’d have been a lot to do.

Houghton Lake Vacation

The whole family had a wonderful week at the Behl House. The house is right on the lake and the shallow, sandy bottom seemed to go out forever. Grear for the kids. Brandi was a wonderful host. Communication was great. I'll certainly recommend the Behl House to my family and friends

Perfect!!!

I booked this fantastic home for a family vacation. We had the best time!!! The house is furnished with everything you could need from the kitchen to toys and games the kids could play with. The beds were super comfortable. It is a nice sandy bottom for swimming/ would recommend swim shoes though little easier on the feet. The grandsons loved the paddle board and playing on the beach. We rented a pontoon and went fishing everyday. We had awesome weather. We have already booked our weeks for next year. Great stay, great place can't wait to go back.

Summer Getaway

This was a planned family vacation and our first getaway with married kids and grandchildren. Great location on the water and property ambiance! The property had all the essentials and more--kitchen essentials, corn hole, kayaks, laundry, etc. Easy access to stores and a nice area to run or walk.

Beautiful location, house had all of the things that we could have needed. Lake was fabulous - shallow way out, warm, sandy. House had comfortable beds, great living space, and loads of toys. Kitchen was stocked.
