  • Houghton Haven has it. A spacious master suite w/ full bath, two additional bedrooms with a separate bath. A full kitchen, dining and living area, even an oversized deck w/ gazebo and two firepits. A golf course sits just off the back yard for you golf lovers. Houghton Lake public beach and access is just a 10 min walk up the road or Enjoy a picnic at Trestle Park which is just 5 min further walk. This is truly the year-round central spot for easy access to Higgins Lake or Westbranch

We enjoyed our stay, the home was clean, well stocked and very comfortable. The communication with the host was excellent.

Truly enjoyed this great location on the golf course. The inside looked newly remodeled with a great layout. The outdoor areas provided a comfy area to reflect on your day or plan for tomorrow with others. Easy walk or drive to the lake to enjoy a day on the water. The kitchen supplies allowed for easy prep/cook if you preferred OR the local venues offered great choices too.Ample towels and linens for all rooms and bathrooms.The A/C worked great when needed. And there were fans in bedrooms.Very quiet at night almost no street traffic. Highly recommend this welcoming spot for your out of town needs!

Clean & close to everything

Well kept property and house. Convenient location for golf, lake or restaurants. Only complaint is either the sump pump or waste drain pump needs to be fixed/replaced as it is loud and kicks on when a faucet is open for a few seconds.

Great clean house and location

This house is very clean and really convenient to so many things in the area. Backyard is right on the golf course. Quiet street and nice neighborhood. Kitchen was well stocked, I loved that it had an ice maker in the fridge which was spotless, comfortable beds too. Lots of closet space to unpack & tuck things away. The owner did me a favor and went above & beyond to make our stay better. Would rent again for sure! This is not AI my name is Amy, I live in Romeo area and I am somewhat picky lol

Houghton Haven

We had the pleasure of staying at Houghton Haven for a total of 6 nights. The house itself was very accommodating with kitchen, bathroom, laundry and bedroom supplies. The back yard was on the 15th hole of White Deer Golf Course, and you could literally walk to the club house. Morning coffee and nighttime cocktails on the back deck overlooking the course was just as relaxing as it sounds. Not to mention the 2 firepits that added to the nighttime ambiance. On our last night it did rain, but we made the best of it and played family games that were at the house so, plenty of room for different activities at the same time. The property was located just off M55 and just a short drive to many restaurants, golf courses, putt putt golf and water sports. Management was extremely quick to respond to any question asked. I would absolutely stay here again! Thank you so much for your hospitality!!!
