This adorable little cottage is just steps from Houghton Lake in the wonderful East Bay area. The cottage is clean, comfortable and has been renovated and updated over the last 2 years. It comes with everything you'll need for your lakeside getaway.
You'll feel right at home the moment you arrive at the lakefront abode. Grab your bags from the car, get yourself situated and then start enjoying everything lake life has to offer!
Moor your boat off of the small beach area that transitions to a smooth sandy bottom.
Sit outside in the comfortable Adirondack chairs and enjoy the sunsets.
Dine outside at the pub style table with 2 stools or the dining table with 2 benches that seats 4.
In the winter you can walk right out onto the ice for fishing or to watch the snowmobiles and side by sides race on the track that's built every year around the time of Tip Up Town.

Inside you will find 650 sq ft of living area featuring lake views from the living room and master bedroom.
The master bedroom sleeps 2 in a queen memory foam bed while the second bedroom sleeps 2 in a full/double memory foam bed. The living room also has a Lazy Boy full sleeper sofa.
Other comforts include air conditioning, free WiFi, 52" smart TV, family games and 2 comfortable sofas.
The living room opens to the fully equipped kitchen where you will find updated appliances, counter space, Keurig coffee maker and a small table that extends to accommodate 4.

Houghton lake has something for everyone! Both summer and winter sports, trail riding, mini golf, go carts, shopping, antiquing, dining, movies, coffee shops, ice cream shops, sweet shops and open air fruit markets.
There are drinking/eating establishments very close as well as a meat market, ice cream shop, coffee shop and open air fruit market all within walking distance of the cottage.

***There is a Ring security camera that covers the area outside of the front door and parking lot. There are NO cameras inside the cottage***

Well-Stocked Lake Cottage Near Town

The cottage has a convenient lakeside location, likely ideal for guests with a boat. The interior was clean and cozy, with comfortable beds, plenty of towels and linens, and reliable WiFi. We especially appreciated how well-stocked it was for a short stay. The living room was a nice spot to relax, and we were glad to have a fold-out sofa—even if it could have used a bit more attention from the cleaners.As expected with a lake cottage in the off-season, we came across some mouse droppings in cabinets, drawers, and the sofa bed. Not a big deal, but worth noting—and the owners were very responsive and apologetic when we let them know. The kitchen table is small, so it felt a bit tight for our family of four when dining indoors. Also, be prepared for bright morning sun in the bedrooms—bring a sleep mask if you're sensitive to light.The property is centrally located and just a short drive from great hiking, but it’s situated on a very busy road with no sidewalk, so use caution if you plan to walk or bike.

New Family Tradition

Nice place. Furnished with dishes, commodities and appliances. Small but one bedroom away from the rest which suited the infant nicely.Host was responsive and pleasant. Perfect location.

Adorable hidden treasure!!

Absolutely beautiful property! Everything inside makes you feel like you're on lake time. The host thought of everything, and there's nothing that could have made this trip more cozy or enjoyable. Highly recommend!!

I have been staying at Houghton Lake for 1 week my entire life. This was the cleanest unit that I ever rented. Quaint little cabin updated enough to keep me comfortable.

Good Warm Weather Lake House

Staying in winter is great if you want to see the lake partially frozen, but one bedroom is virtually unusable due to the cold and distance from the heater. Be aware when booking. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and the house made for a great place to stay! I loved being right on the lake.

Everything we needed

We loved our stay at this beachfront cottage! They had everything we needed, and the location was perfect! Cute little shops to check out and great food at Bucillis! We also went to Fred’s in Roscommon - short drive and fantastic eats!! Great weekend!

Houghton Lake Stay

We enjoyed ourselves at here. The owner was in contact with us and make the check in very easy. The lake was rite there. Very shallow a bit out, all sand, so great for kids. We would recommend staying here.

We weren’t at the cabin a lot because we were at our family cabin which was full, but when we were there it was cozy and comfortable. Provided us with everything we needed and some extras. Appreciate the little things like bottled water, paper plates, etc…Loved not having a key to enter. 😊

Perfect winter cottage

My wife, 2 kids, and I stayed at this cottage for the weekend. It is a perfect winter getaway. We needed to be close to some winter activities. We skied at Treetops in Gaylord, and knowing that we had a warm and cozy cottage to come back home to after was wonderful. If you’re looking for an up north retreat on the water for any season in Michigan, this is the place for you.

This cute little cottage was clean and very nicely decorated. Had everything you may need and then some (minus clothes and food)! We wished they would have described location better and how the beach it's on is incredibly small but our toddlers would play there in the evening. Our family had a fantastic time discovering this quant area!! Owners were fabulous and so accommodating!!

Cottage is so nicely decorated. They say "its the little things that matter", well thats most certainly true of this property. such high end amenities in the little things, towels,bedding mattress,decorations, gift basket, etc....So nice to have a host like Lynn that is there if you need anything....Great location also....

The hosts and property are amazing, outstanding. I highly recommend for a terrific stay. 5 STAR!!

The hosts are generous, thoughtful and think of just about everything, and then some, including some unexpected "goodies". They also recommended lots of places to eat, shop, things to do, and great ice cream!!! The property is lake front with walkable access to beach and the lake. The cabin makes you feel like you're in a small house, with all the amenities you can possibly want. Stores and vegetable markets all very close. We had an amazing stay, hope to return again, and highly recommend!! 5 STAR!!

This place is very special. The decor is very nice and the owners supply everything we needed, towels, shampoo, body soap ect. My age wouldn't let me figure the TV and Lynn got right back with me and explained how simple it was! Thanks for sharing your place!

Beautiful updated cottage!

Great location, beautiful view and everything you could possibly need. The remodled bathroom is gorgeous and had so many 'extras' available. The kitchen was well appointed and the beds and sofas were comfortable. Highly recommend this place!
