"We upgraded our room to a deluxe and the bedroom was huge, the bed was so comfortable. The room itself was clean and there was some nice features, it could do with a full length mirror . We didn't have breakfast as we thought £15pp was expensive when you can get it for less in town. We stayed on the 2nd floor and wish we had a top floor room the noise from other residents is deafening. Doors slamming and hearing other people's bathroom water running interrupted our sleep. "Das Zimmer war absolut sauber und schön. Im Bad gibt es teilweise Schimmel an den Fugen in der Dusche, was wir aber nicht sonderlich tragisch fanden. Ansonsten war die Sauberkeit nämlich perfekt. Das Bett und die Kissen waren unglaublich gemütlich. Ich hab geschlafen wie ein Baby. Obwohl die Zimmer direkt über dem dazugehörigen Pub liegen, hat uns der Geräuschpegel gar nicht gestört. "Just a one night stay but the room was lovely and I had a delicious steak in the restaurant."

"The stay at the park in was ok. The curtains in the room were insufficient. With daylight at 4am, the whole room was lit up and made it hard to sleep. I was going to bring up this issue at check out, but was not even asked how my stay was. See attached photos at 4am."

"Showing signs of wear and tear. Very poor parking facilities with very hefty charges! When someone parked next to me I could not get in the drivers door. A lot of exterior noise from 6.00am. "The Mercure is an older and I suspect much grander hotel at one time. It has a sense of opulence about it with wide staircases, high ceilings and stained glass windows, however there are also signs of aging, i.e. worn carpets, old windows. I think it adds to the charm.
