Absolutely beautiful and immaculate property with everything needed to enjoy time on Kauai. Communication was prompt & concise; we knew what to expect. The view is amazing and made us just want to spend more time at the condo. Having two lanais was great. So many walkable paths in the area. The only thing I would warn anyone of is that if someone is staying above you, if they are on their lanai, you can pretty much hear everything they say. And if they were to be on the edge of their lanai, they would look down right into yours. We only had this problem once, but we were there in the off season. And, granted, we were in the property quite a bit. Otherwise, it wouldn't be a problem. Still 5 stars though because everything else was outstanding.

Extraordinary Oceanfront Views

This place was outstanding! The views are amazing, of course -- even better than pictures can convey. We had everything we needed and the place was spotless. The surroundings were top-shelf. Very nice pool -- nothing over the top, just comfortable; the pool looks out over the ocean, too. All the residents, including a handful of kids, were quiet and respectful of others. We can't recommend it enough!

Lovely stay at Pu’u Poa

Our group was 2 couples at this spacious, beautiful condo with amazing views. We loved being able to walk to Hideaways Beach to snorkel just below our unit. We were able to navigate the steep descent to the beach, though anyone with physical limitations might have trouble. The ropes along the sides helped us manage. We saw some whales splashing in the distance, even in May! We made good use of the two lanais, having most meals outdoors and used the private BBQ. The pool is great and big enough to enjoy with others present. Note that there is only one portable AC in the back bedroom, that was too noisy to use. The primary bedroom temp was ok with opening the slider and using the fan. In warmer months, it could be too hot. We’d stay here again and highly recommend it.

The location and view at this property was unbelievable. We loved watching the surfers each morning off our balcony at Hideaway beach and the proximity to the 1 Hotel’s coffee shop. The unit was spacious and clean.

Pu’u Poa, I’m nearly 100% sure, is the best stay on Kauai!

The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This Is the 2nd condo at Pu’u Poa in which I’ve stayed and they were both perfect. I prefer to spread out and have living space when I vacation, rather than a tiny one-room hotel option, and the Pu’u Poa condos are just homey and cozy and Oceanside heaven. Two beds, two baths, great kitchen/dining area, fantastic living room and two breathtaking lanais with the best views you can get. I saw too many whales spraying and breaching to count, watched the fog dance around the mountain and drifted to sleep hearing the waves crash at our shore. The condo was well-appointed, impeccably clean and had a sweetly-Hawaiian/island-style decor that, while a bit out-dated, was still nice, classic and understated, and invited you to just relax and enjoy your life in that precious time and space. Check in and check out was easy, communication with management was a breeze. The new hotel, 1 Hotel, opened up in 2023 and was a fantastic next door neighbor as their restaurants are gorgeous and serve great food, and literally are a 4 minute lovely walk from the condo. I was there for breakfast and dinner every day. The Pu’u Poa condos are quiet, feel very safe and are nestled in a beautiful community. I will definitely be back!

Great Princeville vacation

Perfect home base for exploring the North shore and the island of Kauai for a week. Comfortable beds and amazing view of the ocean from this property. The provided beach chairs and towels were very nice, handy for relaxing on the beach.

10 easy but went quickly to a 5 in that the pillows... most were moldy some disgustingly so..to the point we put towels over them....a shame since its a inch that gets a mile. ! and such a great location !..and we marveled at the kitchenware !! stunned may be a better word for how awesome the kitchen was but the weirdo mildewed pillows you leaned against and put your head on..gross....and you'll hear "Kauai is really wet"...bla bla bla . cheap excuse if thats the excuse

Spacious unit, great view of the ocean.

We really enjoyed our time in the condo. Very spacious. A little outdated but it was comfortable, clean and the washer/dryer was fantastic! Such a relief to come home to after a big day hiking or on the beach. Access to the private beach is nerve-wracking. My husband and I are in decent shape but it is a tough walk up and down. It's muddy, has a very steep incline and you need both hands to hold on to ropes to get up and down. (I'm guessing this happened bc of flooding that occurred on the island). I also think there may be another way to get to the beach that we weren't aware of - so ask. I'd recommend walking through the Princeville Hotel (formerly St Regis) to access their beach - it's public so don't feel weird about it.

It was a great vacation

The only problem we had was there was no air conditioning. It was hard to cool off in the late afternoons. Even with the fans and doors all open. I know air conditioning isn’t that common but when we come back we will definitely find a condo with a/c. After a hot day at the beach it would have been nice to come home to a nice cool Place but instead we were miserable! We used the oven to bake a pizza one night and couldn’t cool the place down til the next morning. So yes investing in some window ac units might benefit this place a ton! The view was pretty, it was clean and they came right away and dropped off a new propane tank to grill with.
