Holiday with castle feeling

Spacious holiday apartment approx. 95 sqm in the south wing of a historic property whose roots go back to the 15th century. The 25 square meter peaceful terrace borders directly on the vineyards of the Sauternais.

The living space
The high quality apartment has two bedrooms for two people each on the upper floor. Bathroom with large shower and toilet at ground level. The kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, hob, oven, dishwasher and fridge, Coffee maker, toaster, microwave.
On the sofa bed 2 more guests can stay overnight. Baby cot and high chair are available on request. There is homemade jam for the guests.

The neighbourhood
The accommodation is in Preignac, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France.
The idyllic Château Le Juge is situated directly in the famous Sauternais, about 40 kilometres from Bordeaux. There is a baker in the village, as well as a small grocery shop and restaurants. Several antique shops and wine growers with wine tasting offers are within walking distance. The famous castles Château de Cazeneuve, Château la Brede, Château de Malle and Château d'Yquem are only a few minutes' drive away.
Langon, the next bigger city, is only 5 minutes away by car. All major shops are also located here. Fridays are market days in Langon and Saturdays in Bazas. Golfers will find an 18 hole golf course http://www.golf-des-graves.com only a few kilometres away. The nearby river Ciron is a paradise for canoeists, the canoe rental is in the neighbouring village.

The Atlantic Ocean can be reached by motorway in about an hour. It takes a little longer to get there by road. Anyway Archachon with the dune of Pilat and a visit to the beach is a must for every journey here.

Besides, here's what you need to keep in mind:
Pets live in the castle - 2 large but peaceful dogs in the main house and 6 geese in the garden.
Agriculture - The holiday home borders directly on an organically cultivated vineyard. We inform you the day before when the winegrower is working there.

Un logement spacieux et bien rénové, au calme, avec une belle piscine et un décor vraiment reposant, accueillant et agréable. La wifi est un vrai plus !Les seuls bémols du logement sont le WC dans la salle d'eau, pas de volets aux fenêtres des chambres. Un peu plus de vaisselle notamment des verres et des couverts serait bien venus.Le reste est très bien équipé (grand canapé, grande télévision, lave-linge, lave-vaisselle, grande douche, linge de toilettes et de maison compris, ménage compris). Les lits étaient faits à notre arrivée, merci !!!Le secteur est calme et il est aisé de faire des activités sans surcharge de touristes. A quelques kilomètres le château de Cazeneuve est magnifique à visiter.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Urlaub und unseren Aufenthalt im Château von Markus in vollen Zügen genossen. Das Château ist ruhig und idyllisch gelegen, abseits des Troubles der Atlantikküste, aber nah genug für zahlreiche schöne Tagesausflüge. Der malerische Poolbereich hat uns uns unserer Tochter viele schöne Stunden und Abkühlung beschert. Man merkt hier, dass Markus Gastgeber mit Herzblut und Leidenschaft ist. Danke für die schöne, unkomplizierte Zeit bei dir und deine beiden Hunde!

We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad op het prachtige Château Le Juge. Het is een idyllische plek met een sfeervolle oprijlaan, witte ganzen en twee geweldige honden. Ook voor onze kinderen was het een droomvakantie. Het heerlijke zwembad maakte onze dagen compleet, maar wat deze plek écht bijzonder maakt, is de gastvrijheid van Markus. Hij is een geweldige gastheer die altijd voor je klaarstaat en ons bovendien heeft verwend met allerlei heerlijke lekkernijen. Een vakantie om nooit te vergeten!

Wonderfully charming and relaxed

My family, friends, and I had the best of times at Marcus' enchanted chateau. The place itself is even nicer and more exciting than the photos, the pool such a phantastic and in the summer heat welcome addition and the surrounding region full of beauty and stories. But the best of all is the gracious and helpful host himself who is doing such an amazing job with the chateau restauration. We felt he had become a friend in the short time we stayed there. Highly recommended.

Nice stay amongst the vines.

Nice stay, lovely retreat we enjoyed the property! So did our children. Pool is lovely. The owners very welcoming. If you want a peaceful stay with access to the beach 1 hr away but away from the crowd then this is the place for you!

Quince días de desconexion y relax entre viñedos

La propiedad es extraordinaria, la casa amplia y ómoda, el jardín muy bonito y cuidado y la zona de la piscina espectacular. Markus es el anfitrión perfecto. Siempre atento a nuestras necesidades y pendiente de los detalles. Nos ha suministrado productos elaborados por él y de su huerta y granja.

Endless surprises, brilliant in every way

Patrick and Markus are the ultimate hosts. The property and their care was sublime. The gite is not only beautiful but also immaculately kitted out. We could have not been treated with more generosity and kindness. Le Juge is the definition of attention to detail. Out of our 6 weeks of travelling, this has been our favourite place! Truly special.

Fantastische week bij de perfecte gastheren

Ons verblijf in Château Le Juge was alles wat we hadden verwacht. En meer. Het domein is prachtig gelegen tussen de wijnranken, waar de buurman heerlijke Sauternes-wijn van maakt. Het dorpje Preignac is zeer rustig gelegen en toch zit je dicht bij alle bezienswaardigheden in de Gironde-streek. Het appartement was ruim en het privéterras met jacuzzi geeft een prachtig zicht op de wijnranken en de kerktoren van Preignac. De gastheren waren vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Respect voor hun inzet om van het eeuwenoude kasteel - dat een leuke geschiedenis heeft - een toeristische parel te maken. Een aanrader voor wie de regio Bordeaux wil ontdekken.

We had a fantastic time! I have never been so relaxed before! Our suite was spacious and light filled. It had everything one could ask for. Our host was beyond generous! We loved his two dogs!! If possible we would like to return!!

Beautiful chateaux stay!

A beautiful stay in a gorgeous location. Loved the little touches - homemade jam, sauterne wine - and Markus was really friendly and helpful. The home was well equipped and super comfortable, the pool was amazing. Loved the chickens (very amusing!) and the dogs!

Genieten van de rust en de accommodatie

We zijn een week bij Markus en Patrick geweest. In een woord, Geweldig! Het heeft ons echt aan niets ontbroken. Het zijn gastheren met de hoofdletter H. Petit paradis au milieu des vignes du Sauternais

Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre séjour au château le Juge. Tout était à la hauteur de nos attentes et même au delà. Le propriétaire est formidable, toujours à l'écoute et toujours attentif à notre confort. Le château le Juge est un endroit magique rempli d'histoire.

Erstklassige Unterkunft

Wunderschöne Wohnung, wahnsinnig nette Vermieter - wir haben uns extrem wohl gefühlt und würden sehr gerne wiederkommen! Es war alles vorhanden und noch mehr; der Kontakt war im Vorfeld sehr nett und vor Ort wunderbar unkompliziert, herzlich und einfach klasse!!! Jederzeit rundum empfehlenswert! Hervorragend

Das Objekt war wie beschrieben sogar noch besser. Der Empfang und die vorige kommunikation war sehr gut und freundlich. Die Gastgeber waren immer für Fragen da oder erreichbar. Die Wohnung war groß, sauber und komplett ausgestattet. Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt und empfehlen jedem einen Besuch dort. Wir werden wieder dort hin fahren.

Prachtige vakantie

We hebben een fantastische vakantie achter de rug dankzij de goede zorgen van eigenaar Markus, alles is gewoon aanwezig in het huisje, heb je iets nodig mag je het gewoon vragen. Het is een prachtig domein met zo een vriendelijke gastheer. We raden het iedereen aan als je tot rust wil komen, wij komen zeker nog terug
