The Space:
Black Bay Getaway is located in a family neighborhood along the Spokane River in Post Falls, Idaho – only 9 miles to Coeur d’Alene and 24 miles to Silverwood Theme Park.

Our home backs up to Black Bay, a swimming cove that feeds into the Spokane River. The bay is surrounded by the 56-acre Black Bay Park* which is home to trails, covered shelters, tennis courts and a basketball court – all nestled among towering pines and grassy fields. The best part? You can walk to everything, right from our yard. We keep more good company on our street: one of Idaho’s most impressive mansions (it spans 28,000 square feet) is a few houses away.

The best eateries and brewhouses in Post Falls are also nearby, including Post Falls Brewing Company, Sawmill Grille & Spirits, Republic Kitchen + Taphouse, and Fu-Ki Japanese Steakhouse. In addition, two golf courses are 3.5 to 7 miles away: The Highlands Golf Course and Coeur d’Alene Golf Club.

YARD WITH RIVER VIEWS
Surrounded by evergreen trees, our backyard connects you to the serenity of nature. Enjoy quiet mornings on the two decks or gather for meals as the sunset paints the sky. A BBQ grill is on hand so you can fire up your fresh catch, while chaise loungers invite you to unwind with a good book.

Out in the yard, there’s lots of room for picnics and play – plus two elegant hedges that form large semicircles. And you never know when our adorable neighbors may pop by deer, moose and more.

LIVING ROOM
Our living room is cozy to come back to, as windows look out to the trees and color pops of yellow keep the mood light. Hang out on the oversized sectional sofa, where you can settle in for a movie night. And when you need fresh air, simply open the glass doors that lead to the lower deck.

KITCHEN & DINING ROOM
The kitchen is a gathering place for breakfast, nightcaps and everything in between. Wood cabinets meet white porcelain tile and glass doors open to the deck. We have pots, pans and all the essentials for whipping up wonderful meals. Our coffee & tea bar also goes all out with hot cocoa mix, marshmallows and peppermint candies.

Choose among two spaces when it’s time to eat: our counter bar or the dining room with a table for six and more glass doors that connect you to nature.

4 BEDROOMS
Up the winding staircase, four bedrooms feel like home with many snug accents. Each has a white bedspread, decorative pillows, nature artwork and nightstands with lamps. Three rooms also open to the upper deck where you can gaze at the river and hills beyond.

With tiles in shades of white and blue, the two full bathrooms upstairs nod to life at the river’s edge. Enjoy double vanities, a tub in the hallway bath and these toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand lotion, hair ties, floss picks, cotton balls, pads and cotton swabs.

Best VRBO we have stayed at. Peaceful and lovely. All the amenities you could ever want. The only thing I would suggest is that blinds or blackout curtains be installed in the queen, double and single bedrooms. Love to stay there again.
