Endroit idéal pour visiter Porto. Aucun problème de stationnement. Train à proximité. Très belle vue du balcon! Hôtes exceptionnels. À l’arrivé comme au départ. Plein de petites attentions pour les voyageurs. Rarement rencontré des gens aussi attentionné! Nous les recommandons sans hésitation!

Beautiful Apartment and Excellent Hosts

Our stay here could not have been better. Felipe and Nancy made sure we were taken care of and made to feel so welcomed. The apartment is beautiful with an amazing view. A short walk down to the ocean and a quick Uber into Porto. The perfect place! Thank you Felipe and Nancy. You are amazing and if we come back to Porto, we would love to stay here again. You're the best!!

Even better than the pictures!

This apartment is gorgeous. And, it’s really big. I’m traveling alone but I did try the pull out sofa for a night and it was good. Better than the usual pull-out couch at home in the U.S. The apartment is very nicely appointed and stocked with everything you could possibly need or want. Use Uber to get in and out of Porto. Go to Serralves!

Very nice appartment

It is a very nice appartment and the owner is very friendly and helpful. The appartment is large and beautiful, it has evrything you need. There even are bikes that you can use. It is located close to the beach and restaurants (10 minutes walk) and the supermarkets are about 15-20 minutes walk.

A really comfortable apartment hosted by super people

This flat was really an excellent base for those wanting to cycle, walk or drive along the coast outside of the main city of Porto. Uber is a real bonus if you do not have your own car. Filipo and Nancy were always answering our various questions quickly and as others have said the balcony is a great space to relax and enjoy the evenings. Many snacks were left for us to sample which was much appreciated- thanks very much for your hospitality.

Perfektes Feriendomizil

Wir wurden persönlich und sehr freundlich von Filipe empfangen. Er zeigte uns die Wohnung und die Garage und hatte einen großen Korb mit Lebensmitteln und Wein für uns vorbereitet. Die Wohnung ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber und gemütlich. Es gibt alles, was man sich nur wünschen kann. Die Mountainbikes, die für die Gäste bereitstehen, haben wir für die Fahrt nach Porto genutzt- man kann wunderbar an der Küste auf Fahrradwegen fahren und dann z.B. die Gondelbahn nutzen. Das Meer ist prima auch zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Sonnenuntergänge kann man direkt dort oder auch vom großen Balkon der Wohnung genießen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Erholung, Kultur und Strand

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub in Vila Nova de Gaia und unsere Ferienwohnung hat definitiv dazu beigetragen. Die Wohnung war genau so wie ich sie mir durch die Beschreibung und die Fotos vorgestellt hatte. Großzügig, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, mit allem, was man braucht. Ein Highlight ist die sehr große Terrasse, die von allen Zimmern aus betreten werden kann. Von hier aus hat man einen tollen Blick auf das Meer und auf den Sonnenuntergang. Es hat an nichts gefehlt, aber wäre es so gewesen, wäre unser Vermieter Filipe jederzeit ansprechbar gewesen. Der Kontakt mit ihm war unkompliziert und verlässlich und wir haben uns willkommen gefühlt. Wir sind ausschließlich mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln unterwegs gewesen und haben die zur Verfügung stehenden Fahrräder gerne genutzt. Kommt man mit dem Auto, gibt es aber auch hierfür Platz. Der Strand ist in gut zehn Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Für uns war die Lage ideal, denn wir sind einerseits gerne am Wasser und in der Natur, andererseits genießen wir es, in der Stadt unterwegs zu sein. Die Wohnung und Filipe als Vermieter können wir absolut empfehlen!

We spent 5 days at Felipe’s beautiful condo just outside of Porto. What we really appreciated is the space and amenities his condo gave us versus a one room one bath hotel gives you. We never felt cramped and the outside balcony gave us beautiful sunsets, and enhances the feeling of openness. Felipe’s refrigerator was filled with an array of snacks, a complimentary bottle of Port wine all you not find when you entered you hotel room. There is a cafe100 feet away, and a well stocked market close by near the beach and bike path. I recommend using Uber and Apple Pay. The cost are reasonable. As in most of Europe driving can be challenging, car rental costly.

Perfect!!!

We had a wonderful time here in this lovely apartment. The reception by Filipi was perfect. He showed us the whole apartment and the garage where we could park our car. Two bicycles were also available for us. Filipi is very helpful and has good tips about Porto. The apartment was clean and is very good equipped. And as a surprise there was a welcome package with delicious food and a superb bottle of port. Thanks to Filipe and Nancy!

Lovely apartment

This apartment has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The large balcony is in full sunlight from about noon until sunset. The sunsets over the sea are wonderful. It’s easy walking distance to the beach promenade where there are a variety of eating venues. A variety of large supermarkets are walking distance but have good car parking if you want to buy anything heavy. We would recommend this property and Filipe was very helpful and provided good local information.

Pour un bon séjour

Appartement idéalement placé avec vue sur mer. Tout est conforme au descriptif , la grande terrasse est bien appréciable . Filipe nous a très bien accueilli avec beaucoup de sympathie. On recommande ce logement pour explorer Porto ou profiter des plages à proximité .

Great location for Porto and beach

Had a great stay in this lovely sunny apartment, great size for two people, with a huge balcony and great sea view and sunsets. We used the bikes most days using the cycle path that run for miles along the coast or along the river to Porto. And the bus stops outside the apartment with a 20 minutes journey into Porto. Shopping for food was easy with three supermarkets within walking distance. Philip was friendly and helpful always replying to any questions straight away . The only problem we had was sometimes we were disturbed early in the morning by other residents getting up to go to work. Overall the apartment is in a great location to explore Porto and the surrounding area

Great place to stay

This is one of the best places we have rented! Far exceded our expectations. The pictures and descriptions provided on VRBO site should actually be improved. The balcony is huge and the view from the balcony is stunning, especially during sunset - be sure to be home at least one clear day just to watch the sunset. The appartment is well equiped and clean. The walk to the beach is about 10-12 mins depending on how fast you walk. If you are a foody there are couple of great places along the beach to eat - and do not hesitate to ask Filipe for his suggestions. We got a chance to try most of his recommendations and they were all spot on! So let Filipe know your preference in food etc... There are several grocerry stores close by including one big one where you can get anything. You could walk but it's a bit of a hike (a bit up hill) , especially if you are carrying grocery bags - try Uber it costs only about 2.50 Euros - well worth it. You should take the bus to Porto city centre at least once - nice ride and costs only 1.90 euros per person. It's a nice ride as the bus goes through different neighbourhoods... Oh yes, I have mention the accessibility. It's not indicated in the descriptions, but one of the other great amenity is the elevator. The appartment is on the 3rd floor and if you have heavy bags it's a bit of a haul. Having the elevator is a great asset. Don't want to make this review too long...so in short, we will recommend this place to anyone!! Cheers! Siri Filipe, See you soon...

El alojamiento impecable, tiene de todo. Sitio perfecto para relajarse y descansar. Esta perfectamente comunicado para moverse sin usar el coche y muy cerca de las zonas turisticas de Vila nova de gaia y OPorto. El trato con Filipe perfecto, muy atento y siempre dispuesto a ayudar y dar indicaciones de lugares,restaurantes etc. Muchas gracias por todo!!

Mini vacaciones

Recomendable éste apartamento , no le falta nada , muy acogedor , limpio y se descansa muy bien , cuenta con supermercados , farmacia y lo que necesites cerca , a pocas calles tienes restaurantes para comer ( se come muy bien ) y la playa , su dueño una persona muy agradable y servidor , nos fuimos con pena por los pocos días que pudimos disfrutar , pero a la ves contentos porque pasamos unos días muy agradables , esperamos volver para las próximas vacaciones !!!

Portugal 2019

Filipe and Nancy were so attentive right from the start they went above and beyond what owners need to do. From the start they picked us up from the train station which was such a welcome relief as we had a long journey from Canada. The condo is conveniently located in Gaia a 10min Uber ride to Porto and a short walk to the beach. I would highly recommend this condo for anyone staying in Gaia and Porto. Otilia Maria
