This Victorian, private turn-of-the-century home has been converted to 2 private apartments. Modern finishes & Vintage charm offer style and comfort in a cozy 1100 sq ft space. Hardwood floors throughout, high ceilings and tons of light, & original woodwork give this main level apartment a spacious open feel. 1 bedrooms, with attached Full bath, separate sleeping area with Queen Sofa Sleeper **MUST BE ACCESSED THROUGH BEDROOM, private patio, living area, full Kitchen, FREE Parking, Smart TV and WIFI make this space your perfect HOME Sweet Home. Accommodates up to 4 guests.

Master bedroom features a comfortable queen size bed, with high quality mattress and linens for a comfortable nights sleep. There is closet for guests personal items, drawer space and plenty of room to spread out.

The ATTACHED full bathroom is bright, white and updated, yet still has the original historical charm! There is a full tub and shower combo with clean white tile! Bathroom amenities include quality linens, shampoo and conditioner, and hairdryer. Bathroom can only be accessed through the master bedroom.

NOTE: The second sleeping space, which serves as a sleeping area OR another living space, This is an attached room that can only be accessed through the Master bedroom. There is a door that closes between the two bedrooms to create privacy, but it does NOT secure shut completely. This space features a Queen size sofa sleeper that can be pulled out for additional guests. There is also a desk for working from home and a Smart TV for catching up on your favorite Netflix series. The couch is comfortable for lounging while enjoying a movie or reading a book.

The main living area has a small comfortable loveseat and a dining room table that seats up to four. This cozy room is great for enjoying a meal or relaxing.

Enjoy eating in, with your full kitchen including refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave and plenty of cookware and utensils. Windows bring in tons of sunlight and the door opens up to a private backyard and deck that is perfect for enjoying a glass of wine or drinking your morning coffee in the sunshine!

FREE street parking available.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the private unit and patio. The private apartment is accessed behind the Owners home, and is technically below the Owners space but is NOT a basement. There is NO Laundry Access.

The Neighborhood:
The Belmont District which is located in Southeast Portland, runs along Belmont Street from about 31st to 60th Avenues. Interestingly, the Belmont District is actually located in the Sunnyside neighborhood and the property falls right in the middle of the Sunnyside neighborhood and boarder the hip Hawthorn District. The Sunnyside District area is a very popular area in SE Portland. Known to most as "Belmont", Sunnyside has a strong sense of Portland individuality. Sunnyside has many locally owned coffee shops, markets, and distinctive shops and restaurants. Belmont Street is a favorite destination for many locals, whether it`s for an afternoon at the Avalon Arcade, a night at the Blue Monk, or a cup of coffee at the neighborhood cafe. This area has a nice mix of urban diversity, with a funky feel, and local color. You might often hear The South East Belmont neighborhood is diverse and eclectic, and a neighborhood's neighborhood.
Oh, but there's plenty of places to go in the Belmont District, make no mistake. Go get a boffo breakfast at Utopia Cafe, or sit and salivate over a great burger at Dick's Kitchen. Take a walk down the sidewalk later in the evening to have a drink or three at Aalto Lounge, or at Blue Monk where you can also listen to a good band play or watch some belly dancing (Yup! Belly dancing!). And you must experience The Pied Cow (3244 SE Belmont St), a favorite Portland coffeehouse in a “painted lady” Victorian with a nice big side yard where you can sip the brew (coffee or beer) of your choice and have a huff on a hookah if you're into that.

Getting Around:
To have an authentic Portland experience, there is no need to leave the neighborhood. Shopping, dining and entertainment are abundant. This is very urban area convenient for walking, biking or using public transportation. Portland also has a wonderful Bike Share BIKETOWN located all over Portland Metro. You could get around efficiently with an UBER. Public Transportation is close by with a bus stop only a few minute walk from the house. You can use the buses and the MAX light rail to get anywhere in Portland Metro. Great Coffee, dining and a grocery store all less than half a mile from the home

Other Things to Note:
Portland City Code requires that we keep a log with the Name, Address and Vehicle Information for ALL adult guests. This will be required before check in. If you are renting a vehicle, we will need the License Plate number or we will need to note alternate transportation (ie; air, train, bike) Please provide this information with your confirmed booking and check that you are booked for the correct number of guests.
- You must be over the age of 25 to rent any of our properties.
- No additional guests and visitors/guests that are not registered on the reservation booking are allowed to be on the property after 10pm.
- No PETS allowed at this property at any time.
- Smoking anywhere on the property will result in forfeiture of your entire deposit plus can result in additional fees up to $500 for smoke removal.
- Self Check In using electronic lock. Check-In is any time after 4:00PM and Check-Out is by 11:00AM.
~ Housekeeping is required on all stays over 15 nights and is provided for an additional charge of $50.
Please remember that this is the main floor of a duplex home so noise travels and the owners occupies the upstairs unit of the building! Please respect the owner of the property and use all common areas with respect.

Interaction with Guests:
I can be available by text message, phone call or email. I try to give my guests complete privacy but live close by and can be available if needed. The owner lives onsite but does not want to be disturbs so if you need anything please contact me directly.

Lovely stay

I was looking to experience the Hawthorne/Sunnyside are while working remotely. This house was perfect, so close to shops and restaurants but also on a quiet street with the quintessential Portland neighborhood vibes. Also the bed was incredibly comfortable. It was the perfect stay for me!

Very comfortable

Wi-Fi is weak around unit, good in Lroom and absent in kitchen. Once understood, it meet our needs. Location, very walkable with lots of commercial options just a few blocks away. Bed is comfortable and shower is extra satisfying.
