    The Space:

    Discover an especially charming side to Portland at this quiet neighborhood home, wonderfully situated less than a mile from the heart of Multnomah Village. Peruse the unique shops, food carts, and eateries in town, then return home to take a dip in the heated pool (available seasonally July-Sept) and relax in over 9,000 square feet of beautiful, landscaped gardens.



    This tranquil home is ideal for getting around on foot, with off-street parking provided. The neighborhood is incredibly walkable, with new sidewalks and landscaping on SW Capitol Highway leading into Multnomah Village.



    The large corner lot is something special, with its professionally maintained gardens and private pool (with plenty of beach towels provided!). There's patio seating beneath the trees for morning coffee in the front yard, as well as a partially covered rear deck with a gas grill for afternoon barbecues. Please note, however, that the pictured fireplace is not for guest use.



    Almost the entire interior was thoughtfully remodeled in 2024, giving the house a delightful sense of modern polish. Enjoy a light-filled living room, a well-appointed kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and two inviting bedrooms. The spacious primary bedroom even includes a desk workspace where you can log onto the complimentary WiFi to work remotely. Central air conditioning and a home laundry room are provided as well.

A great place to stay in SW Portland. We came for a track meet being hosted at Lewis and Clark University that was a quick 10 minute drive away. Enjoyed the lovely outdoor space.

This was such a great stay!!! Walkable to stores, food, coffee, etc. large bedroom was huge and super comfy. Gorgeously decorated house and manicured garden! Well stocked and clear expectations and instructions. Friendly hosts, too! Only ran into one of them outside when they were bringing us fresh cut roses for the table on the patio. Delicious snacks and wine upon arrival, too! 10/10 recommend if you re coming to Portland.

Having been away from Portland for some time it felt great to be in a space exuding Portland's charming cultural mashup. The property was in excellent condition and the space felt both cozy and spacious. Great stay, small problems

The property is beautiful, especially the outside grounds were so relaxing and refreshing. The rooms were large and very comfortably appointed. Small problems were that the pool was not heated until after our stay, that the barbecue did not have propane so we had to change our plans, and there were a lot of spiders.

Beautiful inside and outside. Quiet. Has one king bed , and two child size twin beds in a separate room. We did not cook, but kitchen was fully stocked with utensils. Peaceful manicured garden with a Zen feeling . Family friendly, clean . Lots of seating outside , not so much seating inside. Couch will accommodate three people. Needs another comfortable chair in living room. We had family visit for lunch . The weather was 70 degrees, warm so we were all able to sit outside visit, eat. Not sure it would have been comfortable inside if it had rained or was cold .

Great home!

This is a beautiful home in a great Portland neighborhood. The home was beautifully decorated and had more than ample supplies to cook a great meal. We had our Portland friends to dinner, The kids went swimming and it was a dream. We hope to come back soon!

Best VRBO ever!!

We absolutely adore this location, it's homeyness, and on a lovely neighborhood street in Multnomah with EZ access to all the freeways. The apartment is wonderfully and creatively decorated, and many of the home amenities have been thought of, such as books and magazines and games, fluffy quality towels, and lots of cozy pillows and blankets. I can guarantee you that our next trip to Portland we will be seeking to return here.

The unit and the property are beautiful and comfortable. The unit is also very well equipped. The beds are a bit low which is more difficult for older folks and there's a somewhat lengthy walk to the unit from the road, but the path is wide and goes through the beautiful garden and it's a gradual slope down with a few easy steps. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't cooperative so we didn't get to enjoy the beautiful patio and deck. The unit is however a basement unit under a house and that was not obviously disclosed in the information before we booked it, which I think it should be. I tried communicating with the host, Vacasa in this case, and they never got back to me. The people who live upstairs in the house were quiet and left us alone. It's a nice place if you can deal with the basement issue, low bed and walk to the door.

Lovely, Peaceful Hidden Gem

We loved this place! From the moment we walked through the beautiful garden, we knew we were in for a treat. The home was adorable ,comfortable and very clean. We slept very well! It was a great base camp to come back to after a day of exploring beautiful Oregon. The owner was so kind to communicate maintenance and gardening personnel that were going to be on property. We brought beautifully weather with us and and they were preparing the pool for future use. They were no bother to us and quite friendly. I'm always ready to go home after being away for a while, but not here. I could have stayed a few more days.

Perfectly summer-wonderful!

This property was perfect for our stay -- my two teenage kids and myself. We loved how cool the lower apartment stayed during the hot days. My son had a great time in the pool. The updates to the kitchen and bath are very charming and I absolutely loved the patio seating and walk through the shady garden to get to the apartment. Great neighborhood with lots of hills for getting up a sweat. Drawbacks: low ceilings (my son is 6'3" and had to duck doorways), the apartment doesn't have very much natural light, kitchen cabinet doors are a bit awkward (style of hinges forces you to open the door completely to access drawers inside), the bathroom is not super convenient to the primary bedroom. Overall, the space was great for our summer visit. I probably would not choose this listing for a fall/winter stay.
