We travel frequently with our dogs and have never had to leave a negative review - until this stay.After arriving past check-in time, we walked into the house to find a stranger inside doing repairs. The host had only messaged about this 15 minutes prior. What was promised as a quick fix turned into over an hour of delayed access (3 hours after check in time), with little regard for our time and no meaningful resolution offered.The following day, landscaping showed up and entered the backyard without notice - where our dogs were. This was a serious safety concern and completely unacceptable.When we raised these issues, the host offered a 100 reimbursement - but immediately followed it by demanding additional payment for our dogs. This was especially concerning because we had already disclosed our dogs before booking, received approval, and paid through the host’s provided link. Only after we complained did this suddenly become “an issue,” which felt retaliatory and inappropriate.To make matters worse, the home itself was not clean (stained bathroom, dirty utensils, trash in the couch).Overall, this was a stressful experience marked by poor communication, disregard for guest privacy/safety, and questionable handling of payments. I would strongly caution others before booking (I have screenshots of everything if anyone is interested).
