Our homes are equipped with a starter supply of household and bathroom items including body wash, shampoo, conditioner, dish soap, hand soap, toilet paper, and paper towels. These supplies are intended to get your stay off to an easy start, but we do not restock items during a guest’s stay. If something is missing upon your arrival, we are happy to remedy that though!
We only accept reservations made directly by the guests themselves. Bookings for third parties are not allowed. Your reservation must be made for your personal use and enjoyment. Thank you for understanding and respecting our policy
In the event of a cancellation, if a refund is approved, a 5.5% processing fee will be deducted to cover payment transfer costs. This fee is non-refundable, as it is automatically charged by our payment provider at the time of the original transaction. The heater was not working when we arrived, after I was asked to perform numerous task to “trouble shoot” the problem, to no avail, a repair person finally fixed the heater after 24 hrs. I will say that the communication was good the entire process. Although the house was on a standard (i.e narrow) residential street we were always able to park directly in front of the house.The house needs a refresh, the furniture is dated and not comfortable (I understand this is subjective) The kitchen was woefully understocked as compared to virtually every other house we’ve stayed at in Portland…which is many. The neighborhood is quiet and close to many good restaurants. The house had a couple of areas that were not clean. The rug in front of the kitchen sink had numerous stains and was very dirty, to the point that we rolled it up. While sweeping the floor we found old popcorn and a sock under the couch. Another interesting thing…there were no mirrors above the sink in either bathroom, made it difficult to shave, just an interesting choice. (Each bathroom had a window directly above the sink) There are a number of homes available in Portland that far exceed this in terms of condition, comfort, provisions and cleanliness, so with these issues we will not be returning. I am a very easy going person and try not to comment on issues that are subjective….”I may like a soft bed and others may like it firm”…not an issue and while it didn’t meet our needs, i never felt unsafe at any point.

The host was very welcoming and quick to respond to questions. The house was cute and in a great neighborhood. A few issues as feedback are that it was very dark in the house when we arrived, it would have been nice to have a light inside so we could navigate and try to find other lights in the house. We couldn’t get the lamps in the bedroom to come on either. Also, the ice maker wasn’t working, we tried problem solving but with no luck. The shared backyard did not work out at all because our dogs were extremely distracted by the dog in the back house who barked a lot whenever we tried to use the yard. It is so great that you allow dogs, but wasn’t “dog friendly “ for us because we had to leash up our dogs and walk around the neighborhood whenever they needed to go potty. Even in the middle of the night. I’m sure these issues could easily be fixed or your home description updated in VRBO for your future guests.

The property was great, comfortable beds, clean. Location could not have been any better. Only reason for 4 stars is because check-in was delayed which conflicted with being able to get ready for a formal occasion once arriving into town. Otherwise a good stay.

Comfortable house in excellent location
Clean, airy and comfortable house in great location, right in the Alberta Arts District, a lovely residential/restaurant/shopping district of Portland. 20 minutes from down town, 15 minutes from the airport, and walking distance from a host of excellent restaurants. Host was responsive and helpful. Highly recommended.

Great stay!
Our family of three and two dogs enjoyed our stay very much. As others have mentioned, the property is in an excellent neighborhood with tons of great restaurants and cafes. The upstairs master was very spacious and had a separate work area for me, and the bed was very comfortable. The property management company was very responsive and kind. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!
