Summary:

Soak up the light in this sun-filled, freshly remodeled farmhouse. Originally a Sears kit house from the 1920s, this tasteful renovation preserves its original charm while incorporating modern touches. You'll fall in love with the refinished original hardwood floors, quartz countertops, new appliances, and restored vintage details. Just a short walk to Hub Brewery or a few blocks over to Division St, you'll find an endless array of eateries and drink spots to explore!



The Space:

This newly remodeled home beautifully blends classic charm with modern amenities. The refinished hardwood floors complement the quartz countertops and new top-of-the-line appliances and fixtures. While updating the home, care was taken to preserve its original character, including the cast iron clawfoot tub and tall ceilings. The remodel also brought the home into the 21st century with ductless mini-split A/C, as well as new plumbing and electrical systems.



The layout is thoughtfully designed with one bedroom and one bathroom downstairs, and three additional bedrooms and another bathroom upstairs. The main floor features an open-concept layout for the kitchen, living, and dining spaces, allowing for easy conversation and a seamless flow from room to room. Whether you decide to enjoy a night in or explore Portland's fantastic dining scene, this home provides the perfect setting for relaxation and socializing.

Our charming home is nestled in the idyllic Division/Clinton district, also known as the Hosford-Abernethy neighborhood on local maps. Just four blocks away lies the historic Ladd's Addition, known for its beautiful rose gardens and unique diagonal street layout. While our home is situated on a bustling street, walking one block north will bring you to a serene residential area.



You'll be steps away from some of Portland's finest restaurants, eclectic shopping, and convenient grocery stores, all within easy walking distance. Enjoy the vibrant local culture with nearby cafes, boutiques, and farmers' markets. The area is also well-served by public transit, making it easy to explore other parts of the city. Whether you're looking for a quiet stroll through tree-lined streets or an evening out at a trendy eatery, our neighborhood offers the perfect blend of urban excitement and residential tranquility.



Getting Around:

This prime location offers a variety of convenient transportation options to help you explore the city with ease. The neighborhood is highly walkable, with a walk score of 92, allowing you to enjoy a wide range of dining, shopping, and entertainment options just a short stroll away. You'll find nearby cafes, restaurants, boutique shops, and parks that showcase the unique charm of Portland.



Portland is renowned for its bike-friendly infrastructure, with a bike score of 100, featuring numerous bike lanes and the BIKETOWN bike share program, with bike racks nearby for secure parking, making it easy to explore the city on two wheels.



TriMet, Portland’s public transit system, is an excellent way to get around. The #75 and #19 bus lines run close to SE 24th Ave, providing convenient access to downtown Portland and other key areas. Additionally, the nearby MAX Light Rail offers another efficient option for reaching different parts of the city. Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are readily available in the area, offering a convenient way to travel further afield or when you’re in a hurry. Traditional taxis can also be hailed or scheduled in advance.



If you have a car, on-street parking is available, though it may be limited during peak hours. Be sure to check the parking signs for any restrictions. For longer stays or guaranteed spots, there are nearby parking garages and lots that offer hourly or daily rates. Portland also has several car-sharing services, such as Zipcar and Getaround, providing the flexibility of a rental car without the need for traditional rental agencies. We arrived and could not get in. The home was not available for some reason that was never explained. It took 2 hours for us to get resolution. We had to find a hotel. We ended up liking the hotel and had a better experience there than we would have had at the house. From the outside it did not look very good.
