Four blocks from Portland's iconic Kennedy School (with several cool bars, patios, a soaking pool and a movie theater!) two houses from beautiful Fernhill Park and some of the city's best restaurants — Beast, DOC, Expatriate, Dame — in walking distance. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families and furry friends. Watch a movie on the 92-inch screen. BBQ with the pellet grill on the back patio or SAUNA with a cold plunge tub. Central Air! Wood stove.
The space
My home is a reflection of my adventurous style and everything I love about Portland. Take advantage of the well-appointed kitchen, library of cookbooks, sustainable amenities, backyard garden, travel books, and more! Please know there is a very friendly cat, Jesus, who lives on property, and he gets along with all creatures, but there are some dogs who don't like cats, in which case he tends to vamoose for most of a stay. I don't expect guests to feed him, but I do need him to be fed, so if that's not your thing I can ask a neighbor to pop over once in a while and set some food out. Please know I did set up a little den in the basement but have only stayed in it under special circumstances a couple of times, so you will unless we specifically talk about it have the place to yourself!

The entire home is yours, excluding the basement, which is newly renovated into a little den area. If you need to use the washer and dryer, let me know and I’ll arrange it! Also, this is my home, and not one of those faux-hotel Airbnbs, which means it has amazing furniture and cookware and my clothes in the closets, but if you let me know you need closet space I'm always happy to clear a rack or two for your use.
Other things to note
COVID-19 update: it is vital that travelers feel safe when visiting me. I am personally beyond cautious for this reason in my day to day life, and I have doubled the house keeping visits and added special sanitizing measures to make sure all high use surfaces are safe.
