DETAILS: Relaxation awaits at Drift Away Chalet, a Gulf-front home in family-friendly Port St. Joe with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. This 3-story home provides the perfect escape for 15 guests on the Forgotten Coast. Local, family-friendly activities range from scalloping and fishing in the Bay to birdwatching at St. Joseph Peninsula State Park. Or, even playing frisbee with Fido on the pet-friendly beaches. Enjoy easy boardwalk access and a gorgeous view of the Gulf from the private sitting spa and deck.

A stunning backdrop of sand and surf welcomes guests as they enter the main floor great room of this pet-friendly property. A spacious island in the open kitchen allows for plenty of space to prepare meals and chat with fellow guests in the living area. A dining table for 8 sits by the window for group dinners. After a day in the sun, curl up on the wraparound sofa for a quiet night while watching family favorites on the 65” TV. Glass doors open onto the sun-soaked balcony, where an outdoor table and grill encourage guests to dine alfresco or sit and watch the golden sunset over the Gulf. An exterior staircase leads down to the boardwalk.

Early risers will love the primary bedroom’s king bed on the second floor, featuring a beverage fridge, Keurig, and a private furnished balcony. There are 2 additional guest bedrooms on this level—1 with a queen bed and 1 with a full bed.

The third level is an excellent option for families, boasting 1 guest bedroom with a king bed and 1 bunk room with 2 twin-over-full bunk beds with twin trundles.

On the ground level, guests will find the private sitting spa and patio table, lit by gorgeous string lights for a laid-back atmosphere.

A Gulf-front oasis with boardwalk access, Drift Away Chalet is the ultimate Port St. Joe getaway. On-site parking for 2 vehicles makes it easy to explore nearby Cape San Blas or stay local for boutique shopping downtown on Reid Avenue, visiting the historic lighthouse, trying imported cigars, or simply eating the best seafood around. The door was tricky with the code and had to be closed just right for it to work. Not very convenient. The listing was almost entirely inaccurate not giving us a sufficient understanding of the layout. The fact that the “fifth bedroom” was only accessible through the fourth room with the bunk beds was not clearly communicated and caused us some very inconvenient rearranging of where the adults were to be sleeping. The bedroom description was kind of close, the rest of the listing was clearly for another property entirely as it stated there was a golf cart and game room. Also the parking situation for a house this big just isn’t it. We managed only because other units weren’t being used. One trash can for this house is also insufficient. Other than that the house was well appointed, clean and things were generally in working order.

House was clean and had everything we needed. But only having parking for 2 cars is a problem for this size house. The wqter pressure in the showers was very weak. There was also lovebugs everwhere. You could not sit outside because of them and they came in evertime you opened the door.

Annual family vacation

Just returned from an amazing week in the beautiful beach home! Only a stones throw to the water. Could not have asked for a better location. The beds very comfortable, kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to prepare dinner. The teens loved the hot tub and everyone loved watching the sunset from the porch and the beach. We will definitely be back!

Drifted Away at the Chalet

I hesitated writing a review about the Drift Away Chalet because this place and our experience was absolutely perfect and I greedily wanted to keep this to all myself! lolThe house was clean, the amenities were plenty and well thought out. We didn't need for anything. The kitchen was fully stocked, the throw blankets were a nice touch while relaxing on the couch, the board games added to a family game night; again, this was put together very nicely.The balcony off of the master suite was a haven for our entire stay. Not that the other deck or patio areas lacked by any stretch of the imagination, it was just...perfect. Waves crashing onto the shore was a nice way to wake up in the morning and be lulled to sleep at night. We could not have asked for a better place to celebrate our 25th anniversary and enjoy our family vacation. What a way to drift away! Thank you 360 Blue for an unforgettable experience.

Great Location and Clean!

Great location right on the beach with private boardwalk access. The house was clean and the host was very responsive to any questions we had. There was plenty of space for our extended family to gather together or spend time alone— especially with all bedrooms equipped with TVs. We spent 5 days and loved the convenience of the food trucks, a store and gas station within walking distance. The hot tub was a great addition, especially since the weather was a little cool.We will certainly consider Drift Away Chalet again.

Best house!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this spacious home on the beach. It was clean, comfortable, and included all the comforts of home. The kitchen was well-equipped. Bedding and towels were comfy. We enjoyed the hot tub too. A couple steps added to the beach walkway would be helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Grat house on the beach

Overall great house on the beach. Comfortable, clean, and well furnished. Propery manager easy to reach and very helpful. Easy beach access. Parking is very limited for a place that sleeps 13. But we managed 4 mid to large SUVS.
