Sugar Sand Cottage A is a charming studio townhouse accommodating up to four guests. Unit A is on a duplex's top floor via an interior stairwell. The cottage is conveniently located just a short walk from the beach, offering easy beach access and stunning ocean views. An outdoor shower, shared with the lower unit, can rinse off the sand before heading indoors. Inside, the living area is designed as an open space with a sleeping area. The only private room is a stylish bathroom featuring a shower/tub combo with water jets for ultimate relaxation. Sleeping arrangements include a queen bed and a double futon, making it comfortable for four guests. The space contains ample seating around a large TV, perfect for enjoying movies together. The full-size kitchen is well-equipped for preparing meals, enhancing your stay at the cottage.

Mexico Beach is known for its sugar-white sand and crystal blue water. The three mile stretch of beach in the panhandle of Florida is a boater’s paradise and a beachgoer’s dream. Located on the Gulf of Mexico, boats can reach deep water from the Mexico Beach canal with ease. It’s a place to get outdoors, gather with family, walk the beach, enjoy a sunset, catch a fish, or any other stress-relieving activity you may enjoy.

For those in the group who enjoy boating—or even for those who don’t—the Mexico Beach Marina & Outfitters is worth a visit. Mexico Beach is often described as a sleepy little fishing village, making the marina and ship store a popular spot. Whether you're heading out on the water for fishing, regardless of your vessel type, the marina has everything you need: ice, fuel, bait, tackle, and a little bit of everything else. If you prefer spending the day lounging on the shore, the ship store offers groceries, sunscreen, and other essentials to enhance your beach day. You might even run into Luke Bryan's mom as she picks up her fishing tackle, since we know she enjoys fishing too!

You can’t visit Mexico Beach without grabbing a bite to eat from one of the food trucks. The most well-known in the area is Killer Seafood, which is less than half a mile away. Once a sit-down restaurant before Hurricane Michael ripped it to shreds in 2018, it’s now an outdoor window-service food truck serving fresh seafood better than before. The most popular menu item would have to be their fish tacos with mouth-watering fresh tuna, or you can opt for grouper instead. No matter what, don’t leave without a slice of their key lime pie.

This place is adorable! Perfect for a couple for a short stay. There is no washer or dryer, which isn’t a problem if you’re staying just a few days. You can definitely hear your downstairs neighbors and they can hear you, but it wasn’t a problem for us. Easy walk to the beach and the house has everything you need. We’ll be back!

Beautiful Area and Condo

Perfect location close to public access beaches. The condo was very clean and beautifully decorated. Be aware, this is a top floor access only condo. The downstairs is considered another unit and was booked with other renters. We could hear every noise and whereabouts of the downstairs renters. We just kept our TV on as much as possible when we were in the unit to drown out hearing everything downstairs. Also, be aware there is NO washer or dryer access for the top unit (A). On the list given to me of "things to bring" it listed laundry detergent, and housekeeping even left us a small package of laundry detergent to get us started. I repeat, there is no washer or dryer in this unit. I even called the after-hours number to see if I was missing something, but the very sweet receptionist I talked to was completely uninformed of the unit and told me to check the large pantry on the side of the kitchen thinking they were in there. The only thing in this huge pantry were shelf units and an iron and ironing board. We were only there for two days so we just separated our wet towels and bathing suits to bring home to wash. This would not be ideal to stay in for a longer time in my opinion with there being nowhere to wash clothes. Also note, this is an open floor plan with the bathroom being the only private area. Bring additional blankets for the futon as there was only a fitted sheet in the unit for it.

Mexico City Beach

This was the BEST beach experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve had several in my life!! These beaches are BEAUTIFUL! The property we rented was so nice and we had a beach view! We will absolutely be back!

Mexico Beach trip

Nice, clean, well equipped studio room with a decent beach view. The weather did not cooperate at all and very few choices for grocery stores or restaurants close by. Peaceful and quiet place. I would consider staying here again.
