Come relax in Barrier Dunes, a gulf front gated community with amenities such as swimming pools, tennis courts, fishing ponds and a playground for the kids. Enjoy your stay in this nicely decorated and furnished townhouse located directly across the street from the main pool, which is located beachside.

Floor Plan: Ground Level-covered parking and foyer. 1st Level-kitchen, dining, ½ bath and living room with sleeper sofa, TV, DVD, fireplace and sliding glass doors that open onto a covered deck. 2nd Level-Bedroom 1-king bed with TV, balcony and full bath; laundry closet with washer/dryer; and Bedroom 2-queen bed, TV, DVD, a balcony with a good view of the tennis courts and full bath. 3rd floor loft-a ladder leads up to the top floor enclosed sleeping loft complete with day bed and trundle, 2 twin beds and two sofas for relaxing.

Great stay

Can never go wrong with The Cape. The property was clean and as advertised. This unit is one of the closest walks to the beach in this community. The access to the loft is a ladder and a little intimidating when you are up there. Communication with management was great when the initial key we received at check in did not work.

Works for a quick trip

It could definitely use some updating but for a short trip it’s fine and with the location next to the State Park it worked perfect for our needs. Wish it had the coded key locks so we didn’t have to go to and from the rental company to check in and out too. Overall clean but there are just some stains with the age of everything. PS - please do not skip over the fact the loft is really accessed by a ladder - straight up and not a ton of head room.

Good location

Property is on a great location! 2 pools, right on an amazing beach, dogs welcome. Management company was very prompt when the AC went out. Unit is dated and is in bad need of updating, but still comfortable and clean.

Inaccurate description. Actually should be Sleeps 3 maybe 4

The property needs updating badly. The dishwasher is loud and sounds like it will take off into space. The washer, is new, however, do not wash at night as you will not be able to sleep over the washer noise. Mouse droppings the first day. Kitchen is 1980s. The deck boards on the main level feel very unsafe. They need to be replaced. The under the house area is very dirty. Could use cleaning and blowing away of debris.. Biggest problem is the loft. The ladder is literally straight up and down. There is no way an older person, a young child ( less than 11) or anyone who has any physcial limitatons could use that loft. I had several family members who I invited, but they could not use that ladder, hence it really is not usable and should not be listed as a "sleeps 8". There are basically two bedrooms. One king and maybe the other is double or single? Close walk to beach.

Dated but great location!

This property in Barrier Dunes is a bit dated, but we knew that going in, and felt it was priced accordingly. And we weren't looking for anything fancy anyway. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed. And the best feature of this property was its location - right across from the main pool and clubhouse and boardwalk to the beach. You have a long haul from some of the other units on the property but not from here. The loft was great for my 10 year old but the photos accompanying this property do not show the access to it - it is a straight/ steep/firehouse style ladder. Even my 10 year old was scared going up and down it the first few times. Actually, I was too. If you have younger kids, don't count on this loft area for additional sleep space. Overall, we had a lovely time and spent most of our time out on the beach anyway catching those perfect CSB sunsets.
