Our house, fully renovated by an architect at the time of purchase, is regularly maintained. It is designed to comfortably accommodate two people within its 110 m², spread over two levels. It holds a three-star rating in the tourism classification.
The living area consists of a cozy lounge (TV, Bluetooth speaker), a dining space, and an open-plan kitchen equipped with modern and complete appliances. On the ground floor, there is one of the two bedrooms, featuring two single beds (90x200 cm) that can be combined into a large double bed (180x200 cm) upon request when booking. This floor also has a private shower room with a toilet. The master bedroom, a spacious 40 m² area with beautiful exposed beams, includes a double bed (140x180 cm), a desk, and a private shower room with a toilet.
The house features large windows overlooking the garden, while the terrace faces south-southeast. It is nestled in a lush, green setting yet conveniently located about 500 meters from the town center of Port-Bail-sur-Mer, a charming, family-friendly seaside resort in the Cotentin region of Lower Normandy. Port-Bail offers a sailing school, land sailing activities, a small port, and a vast sandy beach accessible via a scenic seaside promenade, starting at the iconic 13-arch bridge (about 2 km between the bridge and the entrance to the main beach).
The town also has all the necessary shops and a great selection of restaurants, bars, and services. It's an ideal base for exploring the Manche department, including the Cotentin and Bessin marshlands, Mont Saint Michel Bay, Granville, Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue and Tatihou Island, Carteret, Utah Beach, and Sainte-Mère-Église.
Do you enjoy walking or cycling? Numerous coastal trails and paths are waiting for you! Bicycles are available for rent at the port and in Carteret (we’ll provide rental addresses). You can also reach the Channel Islands, particularly Jersey, via regular ferry services from Carteret (about 7 km away) during the tourist season—contact the Port-Bail-sur-Mer tourist office for details and travel requirements.
Rental Fees and Charges:
The rental price covers all costs (including household linen service), except for the mandatory end-of-stay cleaning fee (€60, payable on-site) and electricity. Electricity is charged at €0.30 per kWh (typically between €20 and €50 per week in winter, based on meter readings). We have deliberately chosen this pricing model with a moderate rental rate to allow guests to manage their electricity consumption freely, ensuring fair billing.
We provide bed linen (beds are made upon arrival), a bath towel per person, a shower mat, and two kitchen towels.
