The house was built in 2018 and is set in a large garden planted with fruit trees. It is officially rated three stars as a furnished tourist accommodation.
It is surrounded by a large south/south-west facing wooden terrace overlooking the garden.
On the ground floor, there is a living and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, a toilet, and a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
Upstairs, there is a master suite consisting of a spacious bedroom (140 cm bed) with a garden view, a shower room, and a toilet.
The house is located in a peaceful green setting while being close (around 500 metres) to the town centre of Portbail-sur-Mer, a charming family seaside resort in the Cotentin area of Lower Normandy.
Portbail offers a sailing school, sand yachting, a small harbour, and a large sandy beach (only 2 km from the house).
You will also find all the necessary shops as well as a great selection of restaurants, bars, and services.
It is an ideal base for exploring the Manche region (the Cotentin and Bessin marshes, Mont Saint-Michel Bay, Granville, Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue and Tatihou Island, Carteret, Utah Beach, Sainte-Mère-Église, and more).
Do you enjoy walking or cycling? Many coastal paths and trails are waiting for you!
Bikes can be rented at the harbour (we will provide you with the details).
You can also reach the Channel Islands (including Jersey) via regular ferry services from Carteret (approx. 7 km away) throughout the tourist season (please check with the Portbail-sur-Mer tourist office for details and requirements).
Additional information:
The rental price includes all charges (including laundry service for the household linen provided).
We provide bed linen (beds are made upon arrival), bath towels, two tea towels, and a bath mat.
All of this is detailed in the rental agreement that will be sent to you upon booking.
If anything is missing, feel free to ask — we are at your disposal!
Please note: the pellet stove is not available for guest use due to its complexity and refilling requirements. However, modern electric radiators and RT 2012 standard insulation ensure a high level of comfort.
