“Il sole a est” is located in Ponti sul Mincio in the province of Mantova near the renowned Borghetto’s Locality.

The town is surrounded by a vast countryside made up of the morainic hills of Lake Garda and dotted with cycle paths that lead along the banks of The River Mincio.

Nature lovers have the opportunity to travel 46 km. of cycle path that connects Peschiera del Garda to Mantova.

Furthermore, just a few kilometers away, 6 amusement parks including the famous “Gardaland Park”.

The farmhouse dating back to 1400 has been completely renovated including the private swimming pool with solarium area equipped with sun loungers, umbrellas and shower cabin.

Near the pool there is a covered patio where it is possible to have breakfast, lunch and dinner in the summer, also perfect for barbecues with friends thanks to the presence of 2 bbqs.

It is also possible, on request and for a fee, to have breakfasts, lunches and dinners served inside or outside the structure.

The villa boasts a park of 3,000 square meters, which can also accommodate large groups for events, weddings and meetings.
The farmhouse, renovated with great taste, respecting the aesthetic standards, inside preserves the charm of a rustic with exposed beams, fireplace and classic country style furnishings.

The farmhouse has every comfort: air conditioning, heating, hairdryer, cot, high chair, digital TV. Sky system, washing machine, dryer, DVD player, emergency lights, fax, computer, wi-fi. I-pod connection, mosquito nets, pool table, private pool, private parking and welcome grocery basket.

One of the most important things is that “Il sole a est” is a pet friendly property.

The structure is divided into two floors:

Ground floor:

At the entrance there is an atrium that leads to a large living room with table and chairs for enjoying breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Also on the ground floor there is a large living area with fireplace, armchairs and sofa and a beautiful professional pool table available for our guests.

This is followed by a large kitchen equipped with a fireplace, 2 refrigerators, 2 ovens, microwave, slicer, dishwasher, ice machine, toaster, electric kettle, large marble table and large marble sink.

On the first floor we find the rooms Iris, Rosa, Viola, Papavero and Mimosa.

The Iris room is a double room with an en-suite bathroom with bathtub and double sink.

The room overlooks the garden and is equipped with air conditioning, underfloor heating, TV and wi-fi.

The Rosa room, larger in size, equipped with a walk-in closet, double bed, en-suite bathroom with large shower and double sink.

This room also overlooks the garden and is equipped with air conditioning, underfloor heating, TV and wi-fi.

The Viola room is a double room with en-suite bathroom with double sink and large shower.

The room overlooks the garden and is equipped with air conditioning, underfloor heating, TV and wi-fi.

The Papavero room is a double suite with a terrace overlooking the garden and a small relaxation area with armchairs and a table.

The large bathroom is equipped with a shower, bathtub and double sink.

The room is equipped with air conditioning, underfloor heating, TV and wi-fi.

The Mimosa room is a double suite with a terrace overlooking the garden. The peculiarity of this room is the deco-style upholstery that covers the wardrobes and walls, making them one.

The suite has an en-suite bathroom with whirlpool tub, large shower and double sink.

There is also a relaxation corner with armchairs and a table.

The room is equipped with air conditioning, underfloor heating, TV and wi-fi.

On the second floor we find the Camelia suite, king deluxe, equipped with a double bed.

The peculiarity of this room is the main wall where there is a wardrobe that hides the access to the private bathroom with shower and double sink.

The retractable television is inserted in the wall cabinet and the room is equipped with air conditioning, underfloor heating, TV and wi-fi.

On the second floor there are two other rooms, each with two single beds and a shared bathroom with shower and double sink.


The villa is equipped with covered and guarded parking.

The caretakers are always present inside the property for any need.

Security Deposit: euros 500 Including: final cleaning, bed linen and towels, housekeeping (evey day), electricity including air conditioning, heating, internet wi-fi, private pool with hydromassage, private parking space, welcome grocery basket.

Charming Unforgettable Large Family Vacation!

We were a group of 21 family members of all ages and had all 9 bedrooms in the villa. The location is great (if you want to be at the south of Lake Garda), the villa is beautiful. The host, Michele, and his wife are very friendly and they will provide a delicious breakfast and dinner upon request. Kitchen is beautiful and functional. One of the bedrooms did not have working air-conditioning, and hot water was limited at times. All rooms are not the same, as expected for a large house. If you want total privacy, know that the host and his family are on the property (we did not mind), and it was a bit confusing initially about what was their groceries/water/etc. But, overall, hosts were very responsive and helpful! Highly recommend.
