Beautiful apartment in the heart of Ponta Delgada. Excellent location, very clean unit, all appliances in good working order. A supermarket within 5 minutes is a plus. Very easy check-in and check-out procedures. People with mobility issues should be aware that there are stairs to climb since the unit is equivalent to be on a third floor without elevator. Overall, an excellent apartment.

First time in Portugal. Getting acclimated to parking. We connected with them and they were very helpful. They gave us great recommendations about where to eat and what to do on the island. We loved the location of the place, it was accessible to everything in Ponte Delgada. Most importantly we missed our flight to Lisbon and they were so gracious to let us stay until we figured out our solution. Thank you Marcella and Lucia!

The location is first rate. The apartment itself is very nice with all you would ever need.Quick response to questions and excellent recommendations. Very appreciative welcoming gift. Why i rated 4 stars is we are seniors and it was 3 sets of stairs. 2 floors up and when you enter apartment another set of stairs. Also parking is a problem if you have a rental car. Both of these are a bit of a pain but if you aren't driving the stairs you get use too lol.Recommend it

Perfect peaceful place to explore the city!

We had a wonderful time at this lovely place in the heart of the city! The apartment is on the 2nd floor (no elevator) and offers bright spacious rooms and a wonderful roof terrace! It is well equipped and there is an air condition if you need one. The location is perfect to explore the city and the harbour by foot. There are also several possibilities to park a rental car closeby. There is a small parking fee on weekdays - but 500 m away there is a large parking lot for free all week. The communication was easy and fast, the apartment clean and there was even a welcome package for us! A wonderful place which we definitely can recommend and would love to come back to!

Lovely Rental in a Lovely Spot!

I had booked this rental months before our stay. When I communicated with the host ,Marceilia, she was quick to reply. She also shared many recommendations for restaurants, sites, and museums with us. Check in and check out was easy. Street parking, once you know the few rules, is easy and we always found a space nearby. The apartment, up three flights, is clean, spacious, and just as the photos show. We enjoyed hearty breakfasts before a full day of site seeing, then "home" again for a relaxing libation before dinner in the neighborhood. The few welcome items....water, milk, bread, etc. were nice additions. We would gladly stay again and would recommend this rental.

Schönes Appartement im Zentrum von Ponta Delgada

Eine sehr gut ausgestattete Wohnung im Zentrum von Ponta Delgada. Sehr dicht am Flughafen, hat uns aber nicht gestört. Parkplätze sind vorhanden, von 8-19 Uhr muss gezahlt werden. Allerdings sind die Parkgebühren im Vergleich zu Deutschland mehr als moderat. Sehr günstig und ausgesprochen gut und regional isst man im familiengeführten Restaurant Adega Regional (in der Rua do Melo). Vom Haus geradezu die Straße runter, nach der Kreuzung gleich auf der linken Seite.

Gorgeous apartment in ideal location

We were truly impressed by this apartment, its interior amenities, and its ideal location smack in the middle of Ponta DelGada's historic district. The apartment itself is unusually spacious for the price, with modern amenities such as an easy-to-use washing machine (we did laundry while there), two different style coffee pots, and flat-screen television. There are two bedrooms; one with an American-size "full" (large single) in an actual en-suite, featuring a bathroom much larger than most European en-suites I've seen. The other bedroom has a good-sized American "queen" bed, with a bathroom just next door (also sizable and comfortable.) Note: I use the term "American" to describe the sizes because singles, doubles, fulls, and queens/kings differ in their measurements in Europe. For two people, this was more than enough space and room but for families traveling together or with children, an ideal amount of space and comfort. The balcony (a good size and comfortably furnished) is also a nice bonus. The area is absolutely ideal; within walking distance are a host of historical sites and some of the area's best restaurants. One caution is that there's no parking from what we could tell, so if you're renting a car you might want to discuss options with the property manager. (We chose to hire tours instead of going with the car rental.) Marcilia, the property manager, was very accessible and prompt in her replies to questions (and we had plenty of questions!) She even helped us arrange for airport transportation. I highly recommend this property, even if you are just a single person or couple only in need of one bedroom. The price is still in line with most one-bedrooms we considered, and the extra space for just a few bucks more is absolutely worth it. Final note: About three flights of stairs to get to the apartment from the ground level. Just a note for those who might have an issue with climbing stairs.

Lovely modern property in a great location

Just 10 mins drive from the airport this property has modern features and a wonderful balcony/roof terrace. It was a great base for our time in Ponta Del Garda with easy parking and nearby to lots of great restaurants. The lovely host met us to explain everything and even gave a welcome pack of some local treats, would recommend for sure!

Ein Traum mit allen Annehmlichkeiten

Entspricht voll und ganz dem Inserat, vielleicht sogar hier und da besser als das Inserat Nach ein paar Treppen findet man sich in einer völlig renovierten Wohnung mit guten Betten und Bädern. Küche völlig vollständig ausgestattet und die Terrasse möchte, dass dort Zeit verbracht wird. Wirklich klasse und begleitet durch eine tolle Betreuung mit wunderbaren Tipps.

Nice, quiet, and convenient place

Marcília was our contact and met up with us when we checked in for a 3-night stay. She was friendly yet efficient and gave us lots of good recommendations for restaurants and hikes, etc. The apartment was clean, modern, and functional. The location is very convenient for walking to lots of good food and shopping, and the place was very quiet. You can usually find a parking spot fairly close if you have a car; one has to pay for general city parking during daylight hours, but it was very cheap when we were there, and you can pay for into the next day so that you don’t have to move the car first thing in the morning. Free parking is several blocks away. The beds were a little soft for our taste but not uncomfortable. We didn’t use the kitchen much, so we can’t really comment on how well appointed it is. Overall we had a very nice stay and good experience with the communications.

Beautiful apartment in perfect location to explore Ponta Delgado.

This apartment was immaculate and beautifully renovated. The location was perfect for anything you wanted to do or access. It is perfect for a family or 2 couples with two new full bathrooms. Marcelia was an excellent communicator in our planning and arrival day. She even offers her taxi services to and from the airport. The only reason I did not give a perfect 5 is strictly personal... it was on the third floor( with a nice private deck) but no elevator for this couple in our 70’s. After a day of activity and carrying up groceries, it got a bit tough! BUT, if stairs don’t bother you, don’t hesitate to book it!

Fabulous accommodation in Ponta Delgada!

My friend and I were visiting from Colorado. The apartment was exceptionally clean, comfortable and we could walk out the door to the marina, shops and restaurants. It was even better than expected! The property manager was fabulous : ) She met us there, answered all our questions and even arranged a cab for us to get to our early morning flight. Highly recommended!

FANTASTIC! The one word that summarizes Chez Lucia

FANTASTIC! We booked 2 nights at Chez Lucia and had an amazing experience from check in to check out. They had a welcome basket for us with local cheese, jams and bread, a bottle of wine and a bottle of water. The apartment was spotless. The location is great, steps away from the ocean, great restaurants all around and a short walk to the main square. There’s also a great balcony with a table and chairs to enjoy coffee or drinks. The only negative is that we only had two days there. We will definitely be back. Thank you to Marcilia for all your help.
