The 156 year old Light Station is a 23 acre gem on the rugged and remote Mendocino Coast in Northern California. Home to the 115' tall Lighthouse Tower, 1896 Fog Signal Building Museum and Light Station Store and our 9 vacation cottages, suites and studios. Surrounded on 3 sides by the Pacific Ocean and on the 4th by the Point Arena-Stornetta Unit of the California Coastal National Monument, the Light Station offers the most unique lodging option on the Mendocino Coast. Watch for migrating gray and humpback whales, enjoy the resident harbor seals bobbing in the water, watch the various seabirds fly by and marvel at the ever changing skies, waves and views. Stay with us and you will get unlimited access to the Indoor and Outdoor Museums and Tower Tours up the tallest Lighthouse on the Pacific Coast. This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home was fully renovated and re-imagined in August 2016 and features a gourmet chef’s kitchen, beautifully furnished living and dining rooms, custom tile baths, designer furniture and linens in all bedrooms, unique art and decorative features and more! It features one queen bedroom, one bedroom with two twin XL beds and a master suite with king bed, electric fireplace and ensuite bathroom. All bedrooms feature new memory foam mattresses. There is a wood burning stove in the living room (we provide the wood), flat screen TV, DishTV, DVD player with movies that have been filmed at the Lighthouse, comfortable couches and chairs and excellent high speed WiFi. There is a picnic table on your private patio outside of the kitchen. The home comfortably accommodates up to six adults and the kitchen is stocked accordingly with pots & pans, utensils, mixing bowls, cutting boards, measuring cups, coffee maker, toaster, blender, crock pot, etc. We provide salt and pepper, bring your own spices, cooking oils, foil, plastic wrap and/or storage containers. You will also find a welcome gift bottle of Husch Vineyards wine and chocolates waiting for you on the dining room table.

The Pacific Ocean is out your front and back doors, the coastal mountain range and Manchester Beach are just to the east and you are only a few steps away from the Point Arena Light Station Store. Unlimited access to our 23 acre Outdoor Museum, Light Station Store and Indoor Museum are included in your stay. The historic 1896 Fog Signal Building is open between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. daily (4:30 p.m. Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day). Free tours of the Lighthouse Tower can be arranged by checking with the Light Station Store Associate at the store counter. Tours are conducted around every 20 minutes with the first Tour at 10:15 a.m. and the last around 4 p.m. Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, 3 p.m. the rest of the year. This house is pet friendly for up to 2 pets.
