Charming antique boat house located directly on Long Pond. Quiet, peaceful accommodations with 180 views. Watch the American Bald Eagles and Osprey search for fish at dusk from your private deck that reaches out over the pond. Long Pond is full recreation, and kayaks are available. Hiking, bicycling, golfing, fishing, swimming, boating, snorkeling, sunbathing, and napping are just a few of the activities that can be enjoyed in the quaint, semi-private, pond-front accommodation. We are just 2 miles from the Pinehills golf courses, 6 miles from White Horse Beach, 7 miles from Pine Hills mountain bike trails, and 8 miles from downtown Plymouth where you can go whale watching, deep sea fishing, take the ferry to Provincetown, or attend many of our tourist attractions.We are just 10 miles from the Cape Cod Canal. Children over 5 are welcome.

The boathouse has two rooms. The main cabin has a kitchen with a four burner stove top, double-sink, microwave, coffee maker and small refrigerator. In the living room area there is a kitchen table, cozy sofa, and La-Z-boy recliner. Double glass doors open to a 12' x 12' deck that is directly over the pond. The bathroom is small and quaint. The bedroom has a queen-size bed and a daybed. The boathouse is located on shared property with the main house that is occupied by the owners. The boathouse is down at the water, and the main house is up the hill 100 ft away and is separated by a privet hedge.

This property was beyond our expectations. We enjoyed it so much, we decided to skip sightseeing in the afternoon and just go back and enjoy the property. We sat on the dock and spent time kayaking. From being greeted by the host who showed us around to sitting in the cozy boathouse reading and enjoying the antiques, this VRBO was first rate.

Great property! I was there after Labor Day, so everything was very peaceful with very little activity on the pond. The boathouse is tastefully and thoughtfully furnished, and I was very comfortable there.

This place is VERY cute and the host Lynn was very nice, however the boathouse is in the host's backyard, which should be disclosed in the listing. The location might be secluded on a small lake, but there was no privacy. When we arrived, Lynn informed us her daughter was visiting from NY. After a long day all we wanted to do was shower and relax a bit, but the host and her daughter sat on the beach chairs literally feet from our open all glass windows. I understand this was her home and her property, but it was not disclosed in listing that we would be sharing the property. It also was a tad odd that the host let her little granddaughter play in the water naked with random strangers just feet away. It was a warm day and we would have had to close all the blinds to shower and change our clothes so we just decided to leave and find dinner instead. It was very pricey to not be able to enjoy the peace, quiet and relaxation that we were hoping for. I also missed the no TV and no WIFI in the "notes" section of the listed amenities. All in all it was cute, but we were very disappointed.

Loved the adorable little boathouse! Sitting on the deck with my coffee in the morning was the best way to start my day. Aside from the not so great cell service as it is off the beaten path, it was a perfect little cabin lake getaway.

What a gorgeous, relaxing spot! I spent a week there with a friend, and it was the perfect spot to write and also have easy access to a beautiful area, both Plymouth and Cape Cod. Lynn was a great host, and the place was exactly as advertised. It was fun to have access to the kayaks and the private beach, too. What a wonderful place.

Serendipity on the Pond

We were looking for a place to stay for a day or two that was going to be cheaper than some of the 600 a night places on the cape, and this more than those qualifications. In addition, we could hear the water rippling underneath the boathouse at night, and that was the most wonderful thing. Probably the least wonderful thing is going to be the toilet that the other reviewers mentions. I think that they could get rid of the bedroom closet behind the door and expand the bathroom, and get rid of the bathroom sink because you can just use the one in the kitchen just as easily. That would make it a lot easier for people to use that toilet. The hostess was extremely helpful and even showed us how to lock the door outside. Although honestly it's in aaremote enough part of the neighborhood that I don't think that we would have needed to. It's good to know you can

Relaxing weekend

My husband and I loved the view and the quiet surroundings of the boat house. The craftsmanship and decor in the boathouse were beautiful. We kayaked on the pond, rode bikes on the canal trail, watched seals sunning themselves at the beach and enjoyed the downtown history and restaurants of Plymouth. Thanks to Lynn and Jack for their kindness and sharing their special place.

Amazing retreat!

My husband and I spent five nights on this amazing boathouse. It was so quiet, peaceful, and picturesque. It was A great location as we went on day trips to Cape Cod, Boston, and Salem. Our host kindly greeted us upon arrival and gave us great information about the area. After that we had the privacy we had been looking forward to. My only regret is that we did not get to stay longer To wake up to the incredible views of the lake in the morning.

Perfect!

I loved staying in the boathouse! It was just what I needed for my writing retreat. Sitting on the dock with my morning coffee, taking a swim or going out in the kayak--it was all so refreshing and rejuevenating. Unplugging from TV and wifi took a minute, but it was so worth it. Lynn was a gracious host, very responsive. I'd love to come back!
