"I spent 4 nights at The Inn at Moonlight Beach and I was still not ready to leave! Every morning I took a nice long stroll down Moonlight beach, and stopped off for coffee at Lofty. A wonderful breakfast basket was waiting for me when I returned with fresh fruit, a chia seed parfait and green juice. I stayed in Sweet Bay, which had nice high ceilings, a comfortable bed, a mini kitchen and a large soaking tub. All of the touches were so well thought out. "There were several restaurants, a wonderful grocery store, and of course the beach were all within walking distance. The staff were extraordinarily attentive. The muffins for breakfast were dry on one day and amazing on the next. The room didn't have any hand or body lotion like I'm used to seeing in most hotels, but the proximity to the ocean made it less of a necessity. "

"I have stayed all over Southern California and this location and vibe can’t be beat! Very few kids stay here it is more for adults but my 18 year old daughter and I had the perfect time. The staff is great and very accommodating. For sure take a chance on this one . Tucked between Carlsbad and Encinitas. "

"If you are not on the 3rd floor, the noise from people above you is terrible. They are loud and disturbing. Breakfast time is chaotic for guests and staff alike, making it difficult to keep food stocked. Too bad the staff isn't able to make the waffles for the guests. Guests are coughing and touching their hair while touching the food. The staff is extremely courteous and is doing their best to accommodate guests. "

The pool area is small not like the picture in the advertisement. The pool was cold and the hot tub was down for part of our visit without any explanation.
