"the hotel itself was great, staff were very helpful. They could do with installing double glazing in the building however, as it got quite noisy early in the morning given how close traffic / heavy lorries pass to the hotel. We were in the top floor, but were still woken up by it early doors!"

High quality tea and coffee plus biscuits in the room and to top it all an excellent breakfast the next day. Thank you for a wonderful stay in this delightful boutique bead and breakfast close to all amenities. "

"The hotel was central and not too far from the car park. However I have to say the bed was genuinely quite uncomfortable and the pillows disappeared when your head was on them. The breakfast was great and varied. Coffee wasn’t bad. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nice stay for the beds could be much much better"

"Einfaches Hotel mit sehr kleinen Einzelzimmern. Bei heißen Tagen werden diese extrem warm und stickig. Alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen, die Dusche hat so gut wie keinen Wasserdruck, Zimmerreinigung nur auf Anfrage. Personal sehr freundlich und angenehm, Frühstück klein aber absolut ausreichend (frisches Obst und diverse Säfte, Wurst/Käse, Cornflakes, Croissants etc, alles kontinental, gekochte Speisen sowie alles andere außer Tee und Filterkaffee zum Aufpreis) Der große Parkplatz natürlich...

"This is the perfect place for relaxation, romance and restlessness. The food and drink is also amazing!! Only downside is very few pool side beds, otherwise absolutely perfect!!"

"Howfield Manor is a really lovely hotel. Quite a unique venue. The staff were so helpful. This is my second time at the hotel yesterday was for sisters Celebration of Life. We were in the marque which was beautifully laid out, the food was extremely good and the staff were very helpful. We had a lovely room which was very clean and we had a superb view of the gardens. Highly recommended."

"Historic character inn with rooms right in the centre of town. Parking is available in nearby municipal pay and display car parks - but do check with the hotel beforehand for details of which to park in as the closest is a short stay with a maximum stay of only 4 hours. There is a separate long stay car park within walking distance. Bedrooms have been stylishly brought up to twenty first century standards. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommended."
