Esta es una casa original de Lincoln Logs, ubicada en casi tres acres de bosque privado, con 100 pies de frente de lago.

No hay lanchas motoras ruidosas en este extremo del lago, solo mucha vida salvaje y una canoa o kayak ocasional.

Una canoa hecha a mano está lista para su disfrute.
Hermosas vistas del follaje de otoño y muy cerca de las estaciones de esquí de Jiminy Peak y Bousquet. Casa está disponible durante la temporada de esquí. La nueva estufa de pellets de madera Harman mantiene la casa limpia y cálida, incluso en los días más fríos.

La cabina duerme cinco, con una cama queen en el dormitorio principal, una cama doble de registro y un colchón de aire doble en el desván y un sofá cama doble en el estudio. Un montón de ventiladores de techo para mantenerte fresco y la estufa de pellets Harman para el calor del invierno. También hay una estufa de leña Franklin original (madera incluida) para chimeneas románticas. Cocina bien surtida y ropa de cama. Una estufa de gas Glenwood de 1920 en la cocina. The cabin was perfectly located for a week of exploring the Berkshires and southern Vermont. It is centrally located in the region, but feels private because it is surrounded by trees and set back from the road. It was the best stocked kitchen I've had in a rental. Relaxing by the pond was very peaceful; I particularly enjoyed the hammocks. Kayaks and a canoe were available. The cabin was spotless.

Great cabin on the lake with loads of amenities and welcoming touches. It was just me visiting a colleague but this is a great place for a group retreat or family fun as well as a peaceful place for someone traveling solo. Excellent and communicative host and I really enjoyed my time here.

Cozy cabin on the lake. So many activities including kayaking, canoeing and just floating. Very private location but close enough that restaurants deliver. Easy to get down to the lake from the cabin, even for seniors. Full entertainment areas at the waterfront. I hosted a dinner for twelve with no problem. Owner is great and available if you need him

Tucked out of the way. Idyllic. Outfitted with anything you could want or need. As a family we have stayed at many short term rentals over the years and can say that we have never felt anything more home like--as in it could have Uncle John's camp from childhood. Really lovely.

Beyond expectation - a hidden Gem

I could not be more satisfied with the experience we had during our short stay. It was actually very nice to be more in the quiet Cove vs the main lake area… Paddling via canoe or kayak to the main lake area and swimming off of the island there was quite special.

Wonderful cabin and property

The cabin is large and extremely well stocked inside and out. The property is large and there are many amenities outside near the water. The cabin had everything we needed and it is close to Mount Greylock reserve. I wish we had a few more days to spend there. We would love to visit again. The best VRBO we have ever rented.

This was the second time we stayed in this home because it is so nice and the host is generous and friendly. On a cold rainy day we stayed indoors with a fire and on the nice weather days we spent time by the lake. A perfect combination. We definitely go back.

Berkshire Beautiful

What a great weekend!! I just wish we could have stayed longer. The cabin is beautiful and had everything I was looking for. Very comfortable accommodations for the 3 of us. We throughly enjoyed being outdoors around the fire pit which was great after a long afternoon on the kayak and canoe. Host was easy to reach with great communication. Overall very happy with our stay and look forward to returning.

Lakeside Paradise

John has created an idyllic, lakeside retreat. The cabin has such a cozy, comfy feel and the family memorabilia makes it even more so. He really thinks of everything with some welcoming touches that create an inviting environment from the moment you step inside. This cabin truly has everything you could need or want to enjoy a peaceful, serene stay. I even found my most favorite childhood read, "The Secret Garden" nestled upon the bookshelves! We enjoyed canoeing, grilling and a nice pondside barbecue and fire. The only thing that could have been better, from the guys' point of view would have been the secret to catching the elusive carp in the lake. Thank you, John for sharing your piece of paradise with us...we can't wait to return!

Peaceful getaway

This is a well loved family property and evidence of their enjoyment of it surrounds you. The location is lovely and we spent mornings and afternoons sitting by the water or kayaking and exploring the wetlands. If you love nature then this is the spot for you. We saw bald eagles, osprey, kingfishers, a least bittern, herons and a common egret.

Colgate Girls Trip

This space is very special. It offers everything you might need to refuel. Two in our party just sat and looked at the water and wildlife the entire time. Two of us took advantage of the close hiking trail and kayaks. A bald eagle landed on an islet about 50 feet out in the water and just hung there for an hour. After about 20 minutes, I whispered “this is the best thing that has ever happened to us” and everyone just nodded. I want to put future visitors minds at ease about previous comments on the space. John has switched which room is the bedroom and which is the sitting room- so the bathroom is now off the tv/sitting room. No awkward walking past someone sleeping for nighttime ablutions. And he has figured out a very effective cooling system that involves a window AC unit and a series of fans. There was no issue at all with the cabin being hot- even in the loft where two of us slept. We booked ourselves for a week in 2025 for our next girls trip!

Perfect family getaway

Visited with my family of 5 for a last minute vacation. The cabin was charming, clean, and well stocked and John is a fantastic and welcoming host. We loved kayaking on the lake and enjoying coffee on the porch. Absolutely recommend!
