Nice, safe and quiet place for our 4 day visit - better than hotels in the area. It comfortably accommodated our group of 5 with 3 beds, a large loveseat and a dining table with 6 chairs. Owner lives on-site and was quick to fulfill my text request for an ironing board, hair dryer and extra towels. The shower is a little awkward with an adjustable hand wand (no overhead shower head) that sprayed out of the curtain if not carefully positioned to the side. The shower curtain is held in place by an edging piece that if not properly positioned will leak water on the floor - it was ok once we got the hang of it, but not very user-friendly. There was only one mirror in the apartment, above the bathroom sink. For 4 ladies to fix hair and apply makeup, it was a challenge to share one mirror. Later that day, I saw a large lightweight mirror at the end of the hallway and asked the owner if I could move it into the room. He was friendly about it and said something like, "Sure, these are the things I need to know - just put it back when you check out." I hung it on an artwork hook on the dining space wall and we were able to get ready much faster with a mirror there, so that's a hint for guests with the same needs.Overall, I'd recommend this apartment and would stay again. Local friends and family who stopped by said how bright and roomy it was - they didn't know that this old school building turned assisted living facility offered nightly vacation rentals, so we'll spread the word!
