Eagles Nest, Creekside with Firepit

Situated on a knoll above a mountain stream this pet-friendly log cabin in the mountains with a fire pit, covered decks, linens provided, and professionally cleaned. Enjoy nature, dip your toes in the ice-cold creek that runs year-round. Quality appliances and good spaces to enjoy with friends and family. Rent the sister cabin across the creek and down the street if you need more room. Save money, stay at a vacation rental home that you can enjoy for two nights or a week. This cabin and its furnishings have been lovingly curated by the owner and you will enjoy the area, we are sure you will return year after year. Watch for deer and white squirrels in the yard too! The pet fee is $50 per pet. Firewood is not provided.

The Host
As your host during your stay, White Squirrel Realty is easy to reach by text or phone. Each home is supplied with fresh, professionally laundered linens and supplies to make your stay comfortable. Our cleaning crew is local, paid a living wage, and trained so that you can enjoy your vacation in a clean home.
Confirmed guests will receive a text message to the cell phone on the reservation with a link to the essential information you need to enjoy your stay like the door code and the directions. The digital guidebook has information on the property and also on the area including restaurants, grocery stores, and popular destinations. Guests can go straight to the property at check-in time.

We had such a lovely visit! My twin 11 year olds played in the brook that ran on the property and loved every minute! We enjoyed fires at night & the proximity to everything was awesome!

Everything was excellent. The cabin, exterior space, the instructions to check in, access the property, check out, proximity to all the stores you need for your stay. The pictures of the exterior don’t do the area justice. It’s a lot better than the pictures.

The Best

Cute and cozy mountain cabin

The cabin is cute and how you would expect a cabin in the mountains to look. Huge plus: the cleanliness of the cabin and the area surrounding property. The location is perfect for little kids to run and play near the water. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying there again.

Wonderful Family Getaway

The modern cabin had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay (2 adults, 2 kids, 1 dog). The picnic table and fire pit by the creek was lovely to hang out and have dinner by. We also were so close to Pisgah National Forest for family hiking to waterfalls and great scenic views, and horseback riding. I got a bit of good mountain biking in as well. We took an additional excursion to Navitat for some tree canopy zip lining, too.

Great little cabin

We enjoyed this cabin a lot. Short drives to many hikes. We especially loved the gated front and back porches. Our dog was with us and he loved that. Our family of 5 had plenty of room.

Perfect Getaway

This cabin is clean and has all you need. Very convenient to downtown Brevard and Pisgah National Forest. Highly recommend it although maybe not for handicapped as far as mobility getting around outside of property. We loved it! The creek beside the property was so soothing and the porches so relaxing.

Perfect family getaway

Had the best time with our family of five. It was our first time to the mountains and we loved how secluded the cabin felt, yet still close to restaurants and Pisgah. Only complaint was the queen bed was very uncomfortable. Other than that the house was impeccably clean, inside and out! The creek was a huge hit with the kids, too.

Perfect getaway

Eagles Nest was a perfect weekend getaway for our family of five and our dogs. It is a sweet log cabin with everything one needs set above a babbling stream. The fire pit is set near the stream and is perfect for making s’mores or cooking hotdogs. The location of the house is very close to the entrance to Pisgah National Forest which makes for an easy drive to hikes and waterfalls and of course a trip to Dolly’s!

"Like new" home with beautiful views and property

What a great property! beautiful views and love to hear the sounds of the creek from the back porch. Less than 10 mins from the entrance to Pisgah, but far enough away to still feel secluded. Property was clean and "like new"...they do/did a great job of keeping up with both the outside and inside.

Soft sheets and no spider webs

Between my booking date and check in date, I lost my sister to brain cancer. This trip was supposed to be a family vacation but turned into a personal getaway. The fact that I could bring my dog offered me the opportunity to be there alone for a few days. And the fact that it was so clean and well stocked afforded me the instant ability to relax which I desperately needed. I particularly appreciated the soft linens. Also, it did not go unnoticed that someone swept the porches top to bottom - no spider webs!

The Cabin and The Owners are outstanding!

When we arrived there had been an issue with a fallen electrical line and the owners moved us to the sister "bigger" cabin without hesitation. The Cabin was well stocked and the amenities were Superb! Without question the best cabin we have ever stayed in. It is really ashame the owners are not using an equally Superb rental agency. VRBO booking and rental tactics border on false advertisement when it comes to pet fees. For those bringing animals make sure you understand that the pet fee is $200 per pet with a limit of 2 pets. Something they neglected to advertise prior to booking and once they got you, cant very well do much about it. Claimed they were doing me a favor by getting the owner to agree to a 3rd pet and agreeing to waive the 3rd fee. Funny.....when I talked to the owner she knew nothing about that! I want to make it clear that my family and I very much enjoyed the cabin and our visit and my negative comments are solely directed at the rental agency.

Very nice place - seemed like it was brand new and the owner thought of everything

The location was perfect as a base for hiking in the Pisgah Forest and surrounding areas. It is just outside of the town of Brevard which has a few grocery stores and a Walmart - so you can easily stock up the refrigerator or run out to pick something up that you ay have forgotten. The cabin seems to be very new and really had not a spot of dust or even a random spider web under the eves! The place is a bit small and probably better for 2 people rather than 3 or 4. But the owner seemed to have pretty much thought of everything that a guest would need or want - including board games, a gas grill - and firewood for the fire pit. My only concern/suggestion would be that the owner include an additional lock on the inside of the cabin for additional security for guests. We had a very nice stay.

Relaxing

We had a wonderful, relaxing time at this cabin. It was just close enough to Brevard to go into town when we needed to, but secluded enough for us to enjoy some quiet time. The creek was a perfect for our son, and we loved the fire pit at night. Highly recommend this property for a family of four or smaller.
