  • Come enjoy our absolutely stunning and peaceful property. Not a detail was spared when preparing this home for guests. The perfect mix of fun, classy and spacious. Spend time in nature with beautiful vistas from the hot tub, peaceful walks, or go on a hunt for treasure in the lakebed with our metal detector. If it’s fun you’re looking for, we have a pool table, juke box, a jumbo chess set and even a top notch playscape for the kids.

    Please note, as of summer 2024 the draught has caused the lake outside our house to be COMPLETELY dry. Some of the pictures in our listing are from last summer where levels were low but not dry yet.

    If you’re a foodie, have dinner outside on one of our four decks with a beautiful sunset view.

    Medina Vista is divided up into two large living spaces. The upstairs has a living room, kitchen, formal dining room, a master bedroom with an ensuite bath. Additionally it has a bedroom with another king sized bed with a bathroom connected to it. This bathroom is also shared with one additionally bedroom across the hall with a day bed and trundle bed.
    The downstairs has a pool table room, a bar, a master bedroom with an ensuite bath and two additional bedrooms. One bunk room with two sets of bunks (one full over queen and a twin over twin). The last bedroom has a queen sized bed with an additional ensuite bathroom.
    The two areas are absolutely perfect to have one floor for kids and one for adults.

    Looking for more fun or entertainment? We have a pool table, tv/bar area, and jukebox in our downstairs living area. If chess is more your vibe, then our jumbo set out front beside our playscape is for you. Ultimately, whatever it is you're looking for, Medina Vista has it.

Planning Meeting

Our small group of women stayed at this home for a weekend of planning and relaxation. The host was very attentive. Beautiful drive to the house. Lots of room to visit and enjoy the company. Highly recommend this property.

Just the right fit

This home was just the right size for my kids and grandkids and had something for all of us to enjoy. The metal detectors were a huge hit! We all were able to gather as a big group and/or go off on our separate way for quiet time as well. Loved every minute of our stay!

The layout was perfect for our 3 generation family trip. The kids are college aged and we appreciated the lower level with the juke box, pool table and hot tub. We loved searching with the metal detectors. The group that stayed upstairs loved the quiet and big rooms. My only suggestion was the kitchen is missing some necessities like spatulas, measuring cups and did not have enough pans for a house that will hold 14 people. There was only 2 pans, a 6-8” cast iron pan and a 10” skillet. Other than being light on cooking items, it was perfect. The host was excellent with communication and helped us get checked in a bit early. We enjoyed our stay very much, thank you!

Great House

The house is beautifully decorated. My family of 7 were very comfortable. Plenty of beds and bathrooms.. Pretty well stocked with everything we needed. We ran out of propane for the fire pit and didn’t have time to get more but we enjoyed the hot tub. Plenty of nature if you like that. If we come to San Antonio again we would definitely stay here again

Enjoyed the House Layout and Stay

The host was great and very responsive to answer any questions beforehand. We used the jacuzzi, pool table, outdoor playground, gas grill and even the Juke box. The house layout was perfect with 3 king beds, attached bathrooms plus extra rooms for the grandkids, giving everyone plenty of space. We had to clean all the dishes before we used them and some of the floors could have been swept better, but overall we enjoyed the place.

Great place! Highly recommend!

Myself and a group of friends stayed here in February 2023. Absolutely loved the place! Very clean, beautiful place, great location. Medina Lake was mostly empty when we visited, but we knew that going in, and honestly it was fun to get a chance to walk around in the lakebed. We made good use of the hot tub and kitchen, and spent many nights sitting around outside enjoying the patio. Property manager was also very communicative and able to answer any questions we had and provide help with anything we needed.

Family Trip

The room arrangement was absolutely perfect for our growing family! The three king beds were definitely one of the reasons we chose the property! For now with toddlers the dry lake was not a deal breaker! We pray that one day we can return and see the property as it was intended with a beautiful lake view. This will definitely be our first choice when we make our annual trip to visit our Texas Family!

Beautiful Home

This is a wonderful home! Beautifully updated and decorated. Having three king bedrooms with bathrooms, a bunk room, and two other bedrooms was fantastic! The downstairs was perfect for the teens to hangout and play pool while the adults hung out upstairs. The patio/deck has a beautiful view. Sadly, the lake has dried up, but watching the deer and other animals in the now field was fun to see. Definitely a great house for a larger group!

Eclipse Chasers 2023

We were looking for a place for my wife and I plus a group of friends to stay at over the weekend of the October 2023 Annular Eclipse. We found this place on VRBO and it was actually in the eclipse path, though we planned to travel to Lost Maples State Park to actually view the eclipse from closer to the centerline. This house was very clean and comfortable, with plenty of bedrooms to accommodate us all. The house has a well stocked kitchen and plenty of room to spread out and enjoy your stay. It's a shame that the lake can vary so much in capacity, but this is something they let you know about upfront, so your not surprised when you get there. But if you need a house that is clean and can accommodate a large group, this house fits the bill. We would definitely stay again!

Absolutely beautiful experience.. we can’t wait to go back.

Our stay at Medina Vista was 100% our favorite stay at any vacation home we’ve had. It’s obvious the hosts have considered every detail of the home for their guests. The views are spectacular. The area is so peaceful. In the morning, we’d have coffee on the deck overlooking the lake and each evening a glass of wine in the hot tub-taking in the views. We went on the kayak and SUP board and had such a great time. The home is beautifully put together. The beds were hands down more comfortable than our own beds at home and everything felt so clean and fresh. We plan to bring our family back the next time we visit to enjoy the pool table and the outdoor chess set. Medina Vista was the perfect combination of fun, relaxation and natural beauty. We can’t wait for our next visit.

Amazing House for Group Get Together!

The house and surroundings were truly unique. The house itself was spacious with many areas to congregate. The design and finishes were top-notch. The upstairs consisted of the kitchen, dining and living areas while the downstairs was purposed for the bar and billiards entertainment area. The 4 full bathrooms were top quality with 3 showers having rain shower heads. 3 of the 4 bathrooms also had double sinks which came in handy. The outside areas were equally entertaining. Although the lake was completely dry the views of the limestone cliffs were beautiful. We hiked down into the dry bed and used the metal detector to find some unique things. There's a high-end playscape for kids out front along with a large chess set. The back had several decks to enjoy the sunset, a gas firepit and a 7-person hot tub. There was both a gas grill and a smaller charcoal grill. We will definitely come back.
