"Lovely hotel situated deep within the Langdale valley. Fantastic walking options from the front door. The restaurant & bar are a very welcome oasis at the end of a day’s walking. Gorgeous views to be had all around. Ample parking available. Our bathroom could’ve done with a bit of work (extractor fan not working), but otherwise very comfortable and recommended."

"I stayed in the Helm Crag room which has fantastic views of the surrounding hills. The bed is incredibly comfortable and the shower superb. The whole room is immaculate and super clean. "This was our first stay at this property which was very conveniently located within Ambleside. We were warmly welcomed at the properly and had a lovely room, very comfortable and smart. There was plenty of space to store clothes and the bathroom and other room.
