    While we absolutely love animals, please note that The Thirsty Cactus is not a pet-friendly property and no pets are allowed during your stay. Service animals are welcome. If you are traveling with a service animal, we kindly ask that you clean up after them and use the designated waste bins around the property. In the event of any accidents, a $200 additional cleaning fee may be applied to cover the cost of extra cleaning.

    NO SMOKING:
    This is a non-smoking property, both indoors and outdoors. A $500 fine will be issued for smoking anywhere on the premises.

    Hot Tub:
    The hot tub is included in your nightly rate and can be easily heated using the backyard controls. Please allow up to 2 hours for it to reach 100–102°F, depending on the outside temperature. If you’d like the hot tub warmed up before your arrival, message us in advance and we’ll happily turn it on for you.

    Pool Heater:
    The pool requires a large amount of natural gas to heat, so using this feature incurs a daily fee of $125 (plus tax). This will be billed prior to your arrival if you request pool heating.

    Pool Cleaner:
    Our pool technician visits on Tuesdays and enters through the side gate. He will not disturb your stay. On windy days, some sand or leaves may blow into the pool. While our cleaners do their best to maintain it, some light debris may remain. A pool skimmer is provided for your convenience.

    Important Neighborhood Guidelines:
    This home is located in a quiet, close-knit residential community with clearly established guidelines. We kindly ask all guests to be respectful of our neighbors and the surrounding area throughout their stay. This is not a party home, and noise, disruptive behavior, or inappropriate conduct is not permitted. For safety—especially with children in the neighborhood—the side gate to the pool must remain closed at all times. We also ask that all local laws and community rules are followed. Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 10 AM. Any behavior that disturbs the neighborhood, including excessive noise or unsafe activity, may result in immediate removal from the property without a refund. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe, respectful, and peaceful environment for everyone.

    Surveillance:
    For your safety and peace of mind, The Thirsty Cactus is equipped with exterior security cameras, including a Ring doorbell and a camera located on the west corner of the house.

    • Primary renter must be 21+, sign a rental agreement, and provide valid photo ID. The registered guest must remain on-site for the entire stay. Subleasing is prohibited.
    • Maximum occupancy is 9 overnight guests, per city regulations. Exceeding this limit may result in fines or eviction.
    • No parties or events. Loud music, rambunctious gatherings, or excessive cars disturbing neighbors are strictly prohibited.
    • No sticking tape on walls or pictures, and no confetti is allowed.
    • Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 10 AM. Excessive noise or disturbances may result in immediate eviction without refund.
    • Smoking or vaping is not allowed indoors, including cigarettes, marijuana, or e-cigarettes. Any cleaning or damage costs will be charged to the primary guest.
    • No pets allowed
    • Parking is permitted in the driveway only, with a maximum of 3 vehicles. Street parking is not allowed.
