The house was not up to the standard represented and lack of attention to renters' needs.Basic amenities both represented in the listing and customary for a month-long rental were missing. There was no iron, ironing board, vacuum, toaster, propane tank for the grill, hot water kettle, dish rack, drainboard, dish brush, kitchen linen, towel, coasters, napkins, can opener, plastic wrap, tin foil, s&p shaker, blender, bakeware, etc. Over a few days, responsive Property Manager provided most of these items for us. On day 4 of 31, before a record heatwave, the house air conditioner broke. Prop. MGR installed a room unit for the master bedroom, rigging its hose out the bathroom window. The bathroom door had to be left open the whole time. Then began the 2 week record-breaking heatwave where the a/c was being repaired by 3 different technicians. The owner sent 1st repairman who tried for 2 days, in an unmarked van and only accepted cash. He found out that the unit had not been cleaned & serviced in a very long while. Then Prop. MGR sent a technician who came close to diagnosing the problem but said it needed to be serviced by the manufacturer. It took the 3rd guy a few tries and 2 replacement parts, one do-over, and 7-10 days before it was fixed. Meanwhile, we had to stay around waiting and arranging to let people in, NOT WHAT WE HAD PLANNED TO BE DOING DURING VACATION. Two & a half weeks of our rental were disrupted and without air-conditioning.
