"We wanted a relaxing and peaceful holiday with a pool and view and good service. This hotel didn’t disappoint us. There are only six rooms so the service was personal and exceptional. The hotel is located at the quieter end of the Hikkadawa stretch of beach which suited us. The livelier bars and hotels were only a short walk away too. There are buses every five minutes just outside that took us to the Tsunami museum one day and Galle Fort another for about 50p each, each way. Great fun and...

"This is a very nice beach front hotel. Popular place since 70s. Close to the city center with bus/train stations, banks/ATMs. Turtle beach also very close, we can feed the friendly sea turtles and take photos. Kids friendly beach area. This hotel has swimming pools. One for the kids also. Good breakfast and dinner buffet with international food items, some local items also daily. Good A/C, Hot water, comfy beds. " This is typical old Hotel. The building is old and the technology (water, electricity ) is old, but all works. Situation in the city is excellent; near centrum, on the beach. Good bed to sleep and the sound of waves is soothing. Good beakfast and the limits from food allergy were well taken into account. And also very early mornig breakfast when needed was possible. "Loved this property. The reception was so friendly and welcoming. The pool is lovely. The food and drinks (aside from one mistake) was good and reasonably priced. We often had the beach to ourselves. A few things, such as the gym and probably do with a bit of an update/clean but it was the end of the season and there were very few people to use it. The TV was good for English speakers, should you want news or movies. The hair dryer and mirror were outside of the shower and toilet area,...
