With beach access by the community clubhouse and perks like the resort-style pool, tennis courts, a hot tub, splash pad, and gym, you'll slip into vacation mode in no time. At home, start the day with coffee on your screened porch. Inside, everything is bright and fresh. You'll find three levels of living space, with plenty of room to spread out. Natural light fills the open layout, where the sleek, full kitchen makes meal prep a breeze. Grab a bite at the large dining table, then head out to explore. After a day of building sandcastles or lounging by the pool, relax some more in the central air-conditioning, or head downstairs to the 'kid's quarters' for some Ping-Pong or foosball. More entertainment options include three TVs and free WiFi. Fire up the gas grill for an easy dinner. There's an extra bunk room off the garage. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Good but could be better

Few things we weren't fond of...some cleanliness issues. House was beautiful but a couple tables had food on them or crumbs as well as on the floor, master & bunk room had weird pieces of something and a few hairs on the sheets, some rooms had really uncomfortable bedding. Zero AC in the hangout room in the basement; slats shown in pics are open to outside so if it's too hot forget hanging out down there. There is a ceiling fan in that area but there's no remote or switch. I texted Vacasa and they told me 5 hours later that the ceiling fan wasn't included in the amenities? The outside dumpster/trash can was full when we got there and the lid wouldn't even close. Texted Vacasa again to ask where we could put any overflow trash and next day they basically said the same thing as the description, to put it in our dumpster and didn't answer where we could take overflow. The resort doesn't allow coolers or outside alcohol on their beach so you had to buy any drinks at the bar/restaurant. No hair dryer, limited toilet paper for a house that sleeps 10. Some things we loved: AC worked great, we stayed as cool as we wanted all week :). Rooms were spacious, decor/home itself was really beautiful, washer/dryer was nice to have. Proximity to beach is great with the free shuttle but definitely not walkable if it's super hot. Food/drinks at beach restaurant were really good. Overall we enjoyed our stay but we've stayed at many rentals over the years and this one wasn't a favorite for us.

7/29-8/5 2023 lost key family stay

This was our second stay in the lost key resort, but our first stay at this villa. The address listed directed us to the owner’s entrance which was not useful since we didn’t have key cards yet. Can be confusing for a first timer in the area. The check in process was smooth otherwise. The villa was spacious for our family of 12. The garage space was useful for our boys who ranged in age from 8-15. The Tv and garage ceiling fan did not work which made the space uncomfortably hot. Maintenance was sent halfway tho our stay but couldn’t get it fixed. The cleanliness was lacking on several fronts. On arrival was not expecting the floors to be sand free, but there was too much sand for comfort, could not afford to walk barefoot. The glasses, dishes and pots were visibly dirty, so we walked in and sadly went on cleaning mode. The garage bunk room bed literally had sand in the sheets , our kids were covered in sand after a few minutes on the beds. This was reported to management on but no real solution was offered for a couple of days. Sadly found out a vacuum cleaner was not a provided amenity. Was offered housekeeping on day 3 , but was a little late by then , we had already done most of the cleaning. Our room fan was missing a remote so couldn’t turn it On. The other rooms lights would come on randomly while they were asleep which was a nuisance. Small Dressers in all rooms would hv been appreciated. Enjoyed the shuttle drivers , Peggy and crew.

Extremely irritating, disappointing experience

I really hate to be this negative, but I want anyone thinking of renting here to be aware. The condo was nice, but should not be advertised for 12 guests, as you are only given two access cards to get in and out of the gated community/beach access/club house/pool. For 12 people?! We spent most of our time giving the cards back and forth to each other just to access the amenities. The shuttle service is a joke. The driver, Mike, had passengers standing up, and driving like a bat out of hell. My 78 yr father actually fell, with no apology from the driver. That really disappointed me. This is the only way to the clubhouse/private beach. There is no parking there. Either walk 1/4 mile or take the death trap shuttle. We ended up just driving to the public beach. The pool is a far walk from this unit. When we attempted to drive to the pool, there were only a few parking spaces(10 maybe for the entire community). We had to wait everytime until someone left the pool just so we could park. The parking at the condo is advertised for 3 cars, but you have to pull one car in the garage and park the other two in the small driveway all behind each other. We spent a lot of time pulling cars in and out when someone needed to go somewhere. We tried to park one on the street, and received a ticket. Tried to park cars tightly side by side on driveway, HOA stops by. 4 beach chairs/umbrellas for each unit only offered on weekends. Found that out once I got to the beach Monday morning.
