Our updated, 3rd floor, one bedroom vacation condo at Pelican Isle is located directly on the beach on Okaloosa Island minutes from Destin with beautiful beach front views. Spend your day playing on the beach or just relaxing in your beach chairs listening to the waves cascading over the shoreline along the Gulf. Pelican Isle also has a large, relaxing, beach front pool that offers a refreshing alternative from the saltwater. The on-site fitness room will help you keep your fitness routine during your retreat to the beach. Relax at the end of your day at Pelican Isle's soothing hot tub located by the pool or on your private balcony watching the beautiful sunset unfold before you.

Host was flexible with an early check in. Happy to have washer/dryer with soap in the condo. View was great, people were friendly. Pool, Hot tub, workout room were kept very clean.We did alot of beach walking & street side walking to restaurants & convenience stores, as we did not rent a car...Our choice & We felt very safe walking!We enjoyed our stay @ Pelican Isle & would recommend a vehicle if you want to leave the island. We used an UBER/LIFT, which was very convenient.

We loved our stay here! The host was very responsive to our questions and accommodating to our schedule! The condo was comfortable. The chairs and umbrella beng included were a huge plus. Having a couple outdoor places to rinse off the sand was nice. The common areas were cleaned daily too. Check in and check out were super easy too.

There were a lot of small details lacking on this trip…. There is no deadbolt to secure the front door after you enter. The back sliding glass door has no lock - it was long ago rusted and broken off (clearly damaged a long time), so we didn’t feel secure. Lots of little things, too: kitchen needed a lot of work, ceiling fans were dirty, no dish soap provided, cups in cabinet & silverware were dirty, scratched up pans, dirty toaster, all the shelves in the fridge door were broken off, and the bottom of the fridge was dirty. There was little toilet paper and the paper towels were the cheapest quality… it just seemed like too many corners were cut.

Anniversary Trip

The condo was very clean with a beautiful view of the ocean. 1 umbrella and 2 chairs being included in our stay made it even better since the boardwalk to the beach had several stairs. There are limited things to do surrounding the condo, without driving toward Destin, if you are bringing children, but that was not an issue for us. We will stay again if back in the Fort Walton area!

Mother - daughter trip

My daughter and I stayed for a week for a little mother - daughter trip. We both had a blast! The condo was exactly as it’s listed, close proximity to restaurants, easy access to the beach. The check in staff were so friendly. We even found a bunch of live sand dollars and other sea creatures! Everything was great! My daughter is already asking to go back! We will definitely be booking again!

Excellent unit!

My family and I were very happy with our stay. The unit was very clean and had all the supplies needed for our family. We loved how the condo was listed right on the beach and the ocean view from the balcony. Our only complaints are the pool bathroom code is listed wrong on the Vrbo listing and the door to the balcony is very hard to open from the outside. Otherwise we were very happy and plan to stay at that condo again!

Quick beach trip

Location and view were amazing. Furniture in the condo could be upgraded. Some construction was going on next to our unit and one elevator was being repaired which was not expected Otherwise great!

Great place!

The condo was clean. The bed was comfortable with plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The kitchen had adequate supplies. The ice maker worked on the frig! The couch is not so comfy, but we didn't use it that much. The balcony was EPIC and that's why we chose this condo! The walk from the condo was not far at all either. Great stay!

Lots of Potential

A great location that is on the quieter end of the beach. A very nice bed, good A/C and a wonderful view.There's room for improvement, however. The Owner has been notified and will hopefully address some of these concerns. General cleanliness needs attention -stained carpet, dirty Air Filter, etc. Fridge door has no guards on it, so cannot be used for storage, kitchen has missing or broken items (we bought some wine and juice glasses, half the 4-slice toaster doesn't work, can opener barely works, etc.), couch and chair are pretty uncomfortable.I think the owner wants to improve the place - we also told her about rusted balcony furniture and it was replaced within days, but we haven't heard from her since.Perhaps the owner will respond to this message and upgrade the unit to make it more desirable. Great potential at a great part of the western Florida beach!

Loved it!

This is a great condo. Love the view, love the balcony. I could stare at the waves all day… and I did! I stayed for a whole month and it was one of the best things I’ve ever done. It was so peaceful. And I even got to catch the record-breaking snow! That was a blast. I saw 9 snowmen on the beach, plus a snow dog and a snow whale. Wish I could attach pictures. Host was responsive and helpful. I had everything I needed. For future guests, if you read this far, the WiFi password is on the bottom of the router and if the bedroom outlets aren’t working, turn on the lightswitch by the door.

Great weekend

Christy’s condo was well equipped and on the beach. The unit had a nice pool, hot tub and an easy walk to the beach. Christy was very accommodating to a couple things I asked for. Will definitely go back! Very clean and nice!
