Taken on my way in to Applecross in March 2019
The beautiful beach at Applecross in Scotland which looks across to the Isle of Skye. The village was so remote that it didn't actually get electricity until 1955. We drove up and across the single mountain track to get here, the views were incredible and the final destination very worthwhile.

Our hosts were very friendly and offered advise regarding Storm Amy's approach, where we could see the stags locally (which we did!) and regarding returning via Bealach na Ba which we did in dense cloud on the way in. We took the coast road back as the weather was worsening and the view non existent! ...

We found the hotel staff to be very friendly and helpful. The room was ideal as a base for sight seeing. We ate our evening meals there while staying and they were excellent.

Mark was a great host and the only drawback was getting there.....I was a rookie to the single track roads and we were in a very remote area....the accommodations were excellent ....quiet, view was spectacular,

Fabulous place to stay the view is amazing.Lovely cottage with everything you need.Beautiful garden with table and chairs to look at the view.Only negative was noise from the room above that woke me up.
