"Terrible stay. Dirty rooms, Breakfast is non-existent and all continental only. A lot of maintenance workers stay here, so you can imagine the standard. Depressing side of the road lodge. It is not a hotel really, more like a youth hostel!"

"Been several years since I last stayed here. It is in a beautiful rural hamlet only 20 mins from Welwyn Garden City. It is a very quaint place to stay that is dog friendly. The staff are also great. I didn’t realise the bar closed at 8pm on a Monday and the menu was very limited for me as a gluten free diner. I had to have dinner between 6 and 7 ish. For a pub/hotel that promotes its food service and quality, a couple of boxes of cereal and a few miniature pastries was not what was expected or advised. A cooked choice would be expected (and was advertised)"

"We arrived quite late for just one night. The check in was simple and staff were very polite, friendly and welcoming. We had food with us and the fridge in the room was a great addition. Plates, cutlery, glasses all in the room, in addition to tea and coffee for the morning. We had a family room and both rooms were super clean and comfortable. The location was quiet and so our sleep was not disturbed. Would be happy to return should we be back in the area. We didn’t use the bar or restaurant...
