Romantic Chalet in the Forest

  • Our Chalet offers a large loft Bedroom with a queen bed. Beautiful views of the Mogollon Rim from the bed, and of the National Forest to the back. Downstairs bedroom has full bed. In the living room you will find a wonderful wood burning stove. The living room has incredible views from the cathedral like windows. Kitchen has everything except your food. Outdoor deck is very private with tall pine trees providing lovely shade. Our cabin is located at the very back of the lot right up to the National Forest. It is in a very private setting. If you are looking for a cozy couples retreat, we think you've found it! Note, the Century Link Internet out in the forest is spotty at times. Please don't expect it to work well, and after all it's not why we are up there!

Beautiful cabin close to numerous trails and scenery. Kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals and the new deck was perfect for enjoying a morning cup of coffee. Host was responsive and left lovely, personable touches to make us feel welcome. We will certainly stay here again!

This is my 5th summer in a row staying at this wonderful cabin. There is a brand new deck this year! I travel with my cats and they love staring out at the birds and other creatures basking in the sun all day. A perfect place to escape June swoon in the valley, hike, wade in the river, and unplug. I'll be back next year!

Magical stay!! The cabin is gorgeous, secluded, and so romantic. It was clean, well stocked, and oh so cozy!!!

The Chalet was beautiful but the best part is being in the woods ! It was quiet and our puppy thoroughly enjoyed all the new smell's !The house had everything needed for a great weekend away. We had a nice fire in the cast iron stove,, we sat outside and gazed at the star's and hiked the Tonto Natural Bridge. I would definitely recommend this cottage!

My stay here was peaceful and quiet and cozy. I had everything I needed and the host is kind and provided great detail on property and surrounding area. I’ll definitely be back!

This is a beautiful cabin in an amazing forest area. Quiet getaway. Close to the Arizona Trail. Our dogs had a blast with all the new smells and our hike on a portion of the highline trail. Great host family. 16 moles from Payson, last few up a graveled dirt road, so expect your car to get dirty. Overall, a great stay for us.

Host was welcoming and helpful. My husband and I stayed over Christmas with our dog and the place was decorated beautifully for the holiday season. The place was clean, cozy, and dog friendly.
