Pavlov and Šakvice villages. Between the villages Pavlov and Šakvice the lake Věstonice Reservoir, (Czech: Vodní nádrž Nové Mlýny II, Věstonická nádrž) is a reservoir on the Thaya River in the South Moravia. It is 1668 ha in area. The reservoir was built on the place of Mušov village. This is a Natural Reserve since 1994 together with the mouth of rivers Jihlava and Svratka. At the villages around the lake a wine area famous in South Moravia also all kind of water recreation...Some places remind of France. For many people, South Moravia is a place of cultivated vineyards, blossoming orchards and fertile fields. You can discover for yourself the beauty of the beech woods and orchid meadows of the White Carpathian Mountains, mysterious charms of the floodplain forest at the forks of the Morava and Dyje rivers, or the unforgettable silhouette of Pálava. Viticulture is an integral part of South Moravian culture. Discover the region producing Rieslings, Veltlín, Frankovka, and St. Lawrence wines. Walk among the vineyards and wine cellars, taste our liquid sun! Learn folk traditions, such as the Ride of the Kings, meet the hospitality of local people. The region offers scenic beauties, historical castles and chateaus, karst caverns, archaeological sites, churches and synagogues, places of bloody battles, traditional folk fests and swimmable water reservoirs. It was for me a great experience, the people are nice, the living place is full of equipment , clean and with nice decoration Outside there are some chairs in garden which make the experience more comfortable I recommend this place !
