11 stays in Jomtien & finally a terrible one. Staff was friendly with 1 exception and housekeeping was awesome. Room was thoroughly cleaned every day. Worth 1 star.
Rough start. We arrived 90 minutes before check in. We asked if we could put our bags in the room as we were leaving until after midnight for a family event. The room was ready and the hotel seemed fairly empty the whole week we were there. I was told it would be 500b to check in early. I agreed. When I finished the paperwork I was told the manager had decided it would be 800b. I protested but paid as my car was waiting. 800b for 90 minute early check in + 1000b deposit + 500b key deposit for 2300b cash total. I was then charged 200b for a damaged hand towel.
WiFi rarely worked. When we asked about it at the front desk, they acknowledged that it was poor and told us to just keep trying it would connect eventually. if it connected it was lucky to stay connected for 30 minutes. Ridiculous.
The pool is tiny with eight uncomfortable lounge chairs. It is completely blocked from the sun on 2 sides and partially on 2. It gets sun in the late afternoon for about 2 hours. The water is freezing cold.
We paid for the Sky Suite. Large room and balcony with almost no furnishings. No table & chairs. The view was incredible, but you had to be standing as you stared into a tall wall when seated. Terrible tv and channels.
Poorly designed and poorly managed hotel. So many great hotels in Jomtien but this is not one!
