  • Hodge Lodge es una casa histórica en la galardonada isla privada de Parrot Cay. Es la propiedad privada original de la isla y se encuentra en la playa en el extremo noreste de la isla, ofreciendo una vista de 360 grados del mar y la arena.Fue construido en 1970 como un albergue de pescadores y se ha convertido en una casa familiar relajada, cómoda y encantadora. Location, location, location

The property was great, homely with everything you could possibly need. Andrea was very communicative and we felt that she was really looking out for us. The locals who help out were all very nice and welcoming. The location is spectacular , what more is there to say, we loved every minute of our stay. Just one thing to bear in mind, because of the remote location , when things go wrong it can take a bit of time to fix. However Andrea was very responsive and did her best to ensure we had a lovely time, and we certainly did!

Beautiful property on a gorgeous island

A truly lovely place to escape from it all. The house is beautiful, the staff unbelievably helpful/friendly, and the location unbeatable. It really is like having your own private island. But definitely not the place to go if you're looking for creature comforts — there are no restaurants available to you (COMO no longer allows access to theirs, so be prepared to do all your own cooking), the limited AC is very overmatched by the tropical heat/open layout, and the pest problem is VERY apparent (understandable for an older house in the tropics, but not at this price point). In sum, I would give it a 6 out of 5 based on location/the charm of house/the beauty of the island, but only a 3 out of 5 on all other metrics (and frankly, that's generous). I truly wish I could give this place a perfect review, as the days really were absolutely amazing, but the rest of the experience was simply too much to overlook.

Magical oasis

Amazing unique property with character, tranquility and everything you can possibly want for a peaceful beautiful time away. You can easily stay the entire vacation in the house and the beautiful private beach, watching the wild life and basking in the sun and beautiful water. Or... you can take advantage of the amazing secluded COMO resort, it’s spa and restaurants. The owner is very very attentive and helpful. Amazing.

The property is in the most beautiful setting .

Andrea was incredibly helpful in arranging our stay, telling us what to expect at every point and facilitating arrangement with the resort. Yolanda and Conrad could not have been more accommodating on the ground. The house is a treasure in a paradise. I would strongly recommend exploring along the beaches and trails and having Yolanda prepare dinner at least one night. The house was kept clean and orderly during our entire stay. Having Andrea accessible during our stay to answer questions and help with last minute arrangements was invaluable. The level of service and attention to our specific needs can not be understated. I would recommend this property to all.

Unforgettable

I can't even begin to put into words how special the Hodge Lodge is. Pictures/words don't do it justice! Waking up every morning to the beautiful blue ocean and having coffee outside on the beautiful wrap around deck is unreal. We spent our days on the private beach in complete isolation from others, fishing and walking the beach to COMO is a short 10-minute walk. Yolander is wonderful and cooked us a beautiful dinner one night. Anyone who gets the opportunity to stay at Hodge Lodge is lucky!! We miss it already and can't wait to come back

An adventure in paradise

Andrea could not have been more accommodating and accessible from the moment I inquired about the property until our flight unfortunately had to take us home. Her folks on the ground took care of all our needs and I would highly recommend having Yolanda prepare dinner one night. Her relationship with the resort insure that we received total VIP treatment. Highly recommend exploring beaches and trails around the house. An easy walk to the resort. I would most highly recommend this property to all

Quiet Calm Relaxing

Our family had a wonderful time. We stayed for 6 days. If you like peace tranquility, balanced with turquoise colored waters and a step of almost novel writing images then this is the place for you . Simple and Soothing for the mind body and Soul. This was our first home rental, and it was a pleasant experience. We felt just like we were home. Great Place, Great People and Truly a Great Experience enjoy the sun, sand and water.

Hodge Lodging

We've just returned from a weekend at Hodge Lodge in Parrot Cay and words can't express what a wonderful, relaxing and fun experience we had. The location is unmatched, with total privacy at the villa which is accessed through a private hilly driveway that you reach via an amazing 6 seater golf buggy. The house is so well maintained and beautifully decorated. You can really tell that someone has had this home in their family for a long time and treats it with love and care. It feels homey, elegant, rustic and refined all at the same time. We had everything we needed in terms of pots and pans, spices and oils to cook with and amazing spaces to choose from, to lounge or enjoy big family meals. A previous guest had left some amazing homemade pesto, lots of yummy rums and delicious cheeses, which we got to enjoy. We also left behind some goodies for the next arrival and loved this shared aspect of the stay. It is the ultimate place to relax, with a private dock and canal to take dips in and beaches and sandbars to explore during low tide. We had some jet skis brought over and spent our days cooking, lounging and taking those out for a spin to explore other islands. The new bar at COMO is also a plus and we enjoyed some cocktails there one evening, but otherwise really felt no desire to leave Hodge Lodge. We will definitely make another trip and recommend it to friends. Thank you so much for sharing your gorgeous home with us and thank you to Andrea the owner for all of her help before and during our stay. I hope to meet you one day and put a face to the name of the luckiest girl on earth!! Thank you again!!!

Paradise!!

Words cannot do this amazing home justice! We traveled to this island paradise with two other couples. Our group enjoyed the beautiful beach, fishing the inlet from the lower deck of the house and sitting out on the upper deck relaxing and taking in the 360 degree views. The accommodations were perfect for our needs. The owner of Hodge Lodge, Andrea, is wonderful to deal with. This being our first trip to the Hodge Lodge we had so many questions. Andrea, patiently, answered them all!! From arranging groceries to be delivered to the house, transportation back and forth between the islands or a private meal prepared at the house, Andrea took care of everything! In addition to staying in this beautiful house, we had full access to all of the amenities of COMO Parrot Cay Resort. The resort offers a breathtaking view from the infinity pool, top notch service from the staff and gourmet cuisine. This is absolutely the most romantic place that we have ever stayed. All of our future vacations will be compared to the week we spent at Hodge Lodge! Thank you Andrea!

A Perfect Vacation!

Our family of 6 had the most enjoyable week at this private home on Parrot Cay. With a few tweens and a teenager we didn't know if they would have enough to fill their days with. The relationship with the resort gave us the best of both worlds. The resort offered a pool to use, tennis courts with racquets available, a library with computers and a pool table and food that was spectacular. Our family ended up eating most meals at Hodge Lodge because the view was unbeatable. Laying in the porch hammock listening to nature and the kids laughing at the beach was priceless. To wake up in the morning, with a cup of coffee in hand and walk to the water, find sand dollars, and see not a sole was a highlight. The staff was incredibly professional and easy to be around. We would recommend this vacation to anyone of all ages. We can't thank Hodge Lodge for opening their home to renters. We will be back!

Amazing get away!

We stayed at the Hodge Lodge with my two sons ages 9 and 13 and another family with a daughter 16. The house is beautiful and very well furnished. I recommend doing as much cooking as possible there as it has everything you need or want. The boys spent days fishing in the private lagoon and snorkeling on the private beach. They saw all kinds of fish inculuding a shark and a baracuda. The use of the golf kart was a huge hit. The house has family games which we played everynight at the large round table. We spent sometime at the Como resort. It is stunning. The spa is perfect and the pool is a fun place for kids. The beach chairs at the resort are luxorious as are the towels. The prices are also exhorbitant so be prepared. This house is very secluded. It is a private island getway in every respect. A dream!!

Writers DREAM House

I rarely take solo trips but I was under deadline and had to finish my novel and desperately needed peace and solitude. I did some searching online and found Parrot Cay to be the most private and accommodating island. I found the Hodge Lodge on this site and when I told my editor I was headed to PC, he didn’t believe me. He said that the only privately owned houses belonged to celebrities. But it wasn’t too good to be true, I sent an inquiry late on a Friday night and had a warm response from one of the home owners, Andrea, by Saturday morning. Hodge Lodge is the only non-COMO privately owned property. The house was available for the following week and it took us only a few emails to set everything up. Andrea had transportation arranged for me along with a grocery drop off so all I had to do was show up. I spent the most relaxing, quiet and productive week at the Hodge Lodge and finished my novel on time. It’s my new secret weapon.

First Family Vacation Success!

I took my wife and newborn son to the Hodge Lodge for our first family vacation and it was the most memorable trip of my life. I didn’t know anything about Parrot Cay other than the fact that it was extremely exclusive and only celebrities like Bruce Willis and Donna Karan have houses there. I did a search on VRBO and the Hodge Lodge came up first because it had the most reviews, always a positive sign. Here I am now, four months later, writing my own review. The house was very special. It was rustic yet very comfortable and clean. My wife loved the decor and I was very impressed with the special touches like an outdoor shower and grill and wine cooler. The best part though, is that the house is situated on a private beach. We hung around there most of the week. My wife spent a lot of time with our son on the hammock overlooking the endless ocean. Every night we tried to find the words to discuss how beautiful our day was. We can’t wait to come back when our son is old enough to enjoy more activities.

We can't wait to come back to paradise!!!!!

One of my girlfriends found an article in Forbes about Parrot Cay and suggested it as a destination for our yearly R&R trip. As far as I knew, Parrot Cay was basically a private island that no one, other than A list celebrities had the key to. We were so excited when we came across this listing, we prefer a house to a hotel (which was the only other option on the island) so when we found out it was available we were thrilled. The house is unlike any place we've ever stayed in. It had everything we needed. The kitchen is big and open, sprawling into a dining and living area. It was perfect for social cooking, which is our thing. There were lots of little special touches that we really appreciated like a wine refrigerator, local artwork and screened porches off the master bedrooms. It literally stands over the turquoise sea, so the views are unencumbered and breathtaking. The house itself is just really special. It both made us feel completely removed from our urban lives and comfortably at home. As much fun as we had inside, outside is where the WOW is. We spent a lot of time snorkeling in the private beach. We also walked over to the COMO beachfront and enjoyed some delicious cocktails at their pool bar, Lotus. They were incredibly kind to us and treated us like we were their guests. On our last two days we had a boat ride arranged for us so that we could go fishing...it was so much fun, we highly recommend it. The only negative thing I have to say about the Hodge Lodge is that it will spoil you! We used to change vacation destinations each year but decided after this royal experience, we’re never going anywhere else.

We (my husband, myself, and two kids--ages 15 and 10) got home last night after a wonderful five days in Hodge Lodge. It was the perfect thing after a busy couple of months. The house is wonderful with a wonderful story and everyone who helped us out was fantastic. I loved looking at the book you put together of the history of the house, and then taking our own photos in the same spots as the ones in the book. We'd love to come back at some point. In the meantime, thanks again for all your help.

My dream vacation fulfilled! AND by far the best I've ever had!

Staying at this property is like owning your own private island with white sand beaches, a beautiful ocean, and a comfortable and charming place to lay your head. In addition, it's an easy walk over to the resort and a quick boat ride to the other islands! A few friends and I stayed at this property and we had a great time relaxing on the wrap around porch, watching the sunset, swimming, snorkeling, fishing, and pretending that we owned the island. There is a stretch of sand right in front of the house and it's totally private! We had a great time with so much space to either go off on our own or to gather together and chat or play poker. The kitchen is fully equipped and we were able to prepare everything including our freshly caught seafood. I really enjoyed the accommodations and it's perfect for a romantic getaway or a big gathering. The lodge is perfectly built with separate entrances, an outdoor shower, and multiple porches. The view from the upstairs porch is amazing and I miss watching the sun set. As you can tell, I loved my vacation. It's an affordable option to rent a house on a beautiful island especially when considering that the other houses on this island rent for many times more. The property is charming and a bit rustic, but it's comfortable and feels like a vacation home. Can't wait to go back!

Unforgettable Vacation

You must rent this place if you get the chance! I was just there. This house and the island are as close to perfect as a vacation can get. The house is an open, gorgeous space that feels like an extension of what could be one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. White sand that stretches slowly into the water. The temperature and dreamy blue water is like that in a dream. We went swimming, snorkeling, fishing, walking, running... and slept in the most beautiful room with a gigantic open porch attached. The kitchen was so perfect for cooking and gathering, as was the wrap-around deck from where we watched the sunset every night. I already miss this place. It was perfect.

What a fantastic holiday home!!!

I HIGHLY recommend this place! We were blown away by the charm, the views and the very exclusive beachfront this house had to offer. We ate dinner outside on the wrap around deck every night, watched the sun set for cocktail hour, went swimming many times a day on the private beach, BBQ ed fresh fish and on and on. The beds were so comfortable and the sound of the ocean waves lull you to sleep. This is great quality family time or partner time. The house had everything we needed and wanted. What a gem! This is not to be missed.

OMG this is the best ever

This place is a find, what a beautiful location and fantastic home. Not stuffy, just comfortable with views that are calming and spectacular. Snorkel in your private lagoon just off the deck, swim in the beautiful ocean just over the sand spit 20 yards from your deck, the outside shower is the best, didn't even remember that they had others inside. And it's huge, yet cozy and comfortable. And Parrot key, what a beautiful place. I have never stayed anywhere that I have enjoyed as much and felt more at home with than this place. I can't say enough good things

Recharged!

Just wanted to write to you again to say how much we enjoyed staying at Hodge House. It is a home which feels like there were many happy times and lots of positive energy! We were able to hopefully add to this with an idyllic 10 days spent running on the beach, sitting on the porch watching the numerous birds and the constant activity in the water next to Hodge Lodge dock, eating great meals, reading and just pure relaxation. Clover was very helpful in coordinating the logistics and Poacher and Dr love helped getting us back and forth. My daughter and I spent half a day exploring North and Middle Caicos with Poacher who wore many different caps, boat taxi, tour guide, cave guide, local real estate guide and finally donned an apron to assist in the kitchen at his girlfriends restaurant the Silver Palm. All in all it could not have been better, Thanks again, we have returned with our batteries charged and ready for the Big Apple again. We would love to go back to Hodge Lodge again in the near future.

Pristine Paradise

Pristine paradise! I believe the Parrot Cay Hodge Lodge is located on the best location on the island, offering expansive views of the water and the beautiful Island of Parrot Cay. The pristine water has the most amazing colors of green and blue, I’ve ever seen, and contrasted with the white sand is truly remarkable. Every morning we would have breakfast and relax a while and then take long walks on the beautiful sandy beach, stopping to take a swim or two along the way. The water temperature is perfect for swimming and so invitingly clean and clear. The deck which surrounds the house is a great place to read, nap, or take in the beautiful surroundings. We had the exploring bug and took a day trip to North and Middle Caicos and explored the caves and the beauty of those islands. On another fun day trip, we went fishing and very much enjoyed eating our catch. Sunsets are so beautiful and memorable to watch on Parrot Cay and something we very much looked forward to every day. Looking at the stars and finding constellations are hours of fun in the evening. Staying at the Parrot Cay Hodge Lodge is so incredibly relaxing and our time spent there is a time we will never forget. I highly recommend staying at the Parrot Cay Hodge Lodge!

Heavenly white sands

I have just returned from this wonderful slice of Heaven and will never forget my experience there! The sand was the whitest and smoothest I have ever step foot on or seen. It is amazing! Parrot Cay is on the beach which had the ambiance of nothing less than total relaxation and peace. No hagglers. No one bothering you. We got up and meandered down to the beach every morning and got our favorite spot. And that is exactly what it is! A must see place and relax, have fun and remember, you aren't in America, so take in as much of the culture as you can because that just adds to the experience. the isolation is absolute, the house has all needed for self sufficiency and solace. I am truly thankful for the day my friend at the club recommend this paradise to me. Every share a home in Provance, but from here on out, i am going to grab my week just for my family at Parrot Cay.

A perfect and complete escape

We were looking for places to go that would accommodate both my need for R & R and my husband's need for fishing. We have tried various locations in the past decade, including Cabo San Lucas, Argentina, and even South Africa. Since we come from the Northeast, all of these locations have significant travel associated with them. Each was wonderful, but none was prefect. When the fishing was good, the hotel we were staying had issues with safety or service. When the resort was prime and I was happily on the beach, my husband would be dissatisfied with what amounted to fishing off the local pier in town, with no luck. Parrot Cay Hodge Lodge is a special place on the map. The TCI's have world class fishing (from what my husband tells me) and with a professional guide from North Caicos (visible from the deck) he caught his first bone fish. My needs were more than met. My daily routine was to have coffee on the deck and then walk the beach for hours. When the mid day sun got high, i headed back, made some lunch and had a siesta. Then we would cook the day's catch or get ready to head out to dinner elsewhere. All in all, it was relentless relaxation. All parties very satisfied.
